I think she's mad at me.

She left the car without a word. I tried knocking on her door but no one answered. The mere fact that she's ignoring me makes my chest ache, but I can't bring myself to force her to talk to me. Maybe I'll talk to her later.

I went to bed and took a nap, and when I woke up it was already 6 o'clock in the afternoon. I went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. I groggily opened the door, and then I saw Madam Candice sitting on a chair, slicing vegetables and meat. Audrey was beside her, I think she's cooking something. They both looked at me upon entering, but my gaze was set on Audrey immediately. I felt nervous when her eyes met mine. I thought she'd glare at me, but she smiled sweetly.

"Dinner is almost ready." she said with a small smile. I silently sighed in relief after she turned back to what she was cooking. I really thought she was mad at me. Good thing she wasn't.

With her back turned to me, I can confirm that her oversized sweater suits her. Her white shorts did an excellent job to display her perfect legs. I breathed in to control myself, then coolly walked toward her.

"What are you cooking?" I asked and walked towards them. It smells amazing.

"A stew and some steak." she said happily.

"Hmm.. smells great!" I said and Madam Candice smiled at me as well. They look like they are very close to each other. I looked back at Audrey and she looked glowing when she smiled like that.

"Really?" Her face beamed. "Wait there, I'll serve it to you." She pointed excitedly to the chair near Madam Candice. She's being nice to me. That's a little weird. Even though I tease her a lot, she's always snarling back at me. But right now she's unusually cheerful.

I sat next to Madam Candice. "Am I missing something? "I whisper to her cautiously.

"She's in a great mood, isn't she?" she whispered back then chuckled.

I nodded with confusion. Then Audrey put a grey tray on the table. She lifted the lid of the bowl and the delicious smell welcomed my nose. I always eat at the pack house and most of them are simple food. What I eat is what my pack eats. That's why it's not that special. After a very long time, I can taste home cooking again.

"Dig in!" she said and sat beside me.

I'm a little overwhelmed; my mate put so much effort into cooking for me. I blushed, Audrey's home cooking? Is there anything more special than this? I took the spoon and scooped for the stew. I gulped. It's delicious! It has a rich flavor and you can taste how rick the taste is. Her face blushing and looking nervous about what I am about to say. I gave her a smile and her face lightened up.

"They're both good." I said and she took a deep breath.

"Really? What a relief, thank you!" she exclaimed. Then she hugged me. My mate is hugging me with just a complement. Then she let go. Her cheeks turn light red. She's so cute when mad, when sleeping, when angry and when she's happy. I adore her more than everything.

"I'm sorry! I'm just glad you like it." She said and I was out of words.

"It's okay." I said and smiled. I grabbed her hand and gave a quick kiss. She blushed and looked at Rosette. I don't care what Rosette thinks anyway, she's mine and she doesn't need to feel shy about it.

"You guys finish your meal and sleep early." Rosette said and I ignored her. Why is she here anyway? I want to have a private time with my mate. Should I give her a kiss? Oh thinking about makes me grin. I better not ruin her mood.

Audrey Howey

I'm glad Troy thought my cooking is good. I never actually cooked this seriously. I admit I tried really hard to make the food presentable, at least. Actually, I only learned from my previous school. My Auntie did the cooking back in Canada. When Auntie is busy she reminds me to learn to cook but for some reason I cannot. I improved day after day as I practiced.

When I'm done eating, I went out to get some fresh air. After all, I need sometime for myself too. I sigh. Ever since I came here, there's no such thing as an ordinary day. This is relaxing. I look up to the dark sky. The moon shines so bright tonight, its full moon. What a wonderful sight, the moon is always beautiful for me. I glance to the forest near the mansion. I found red glowing dots walking from the bush towards me. It glows. I narrowed my eyes to see it clearly. Is that a firefly? But the fireflies are supposed to be yellow!

Oh.My.Gosh.

Are those eyes?! They're bloody red. Someone's in there. Those pair of ruby eyes felt like staring right into my soul. It was a warm sensation in the middle of the cold night. But then, I heard a loud growl from the direction of red eyes.

I smiled, I knew it was him.

"Troy, come here!" I shouted. Another growl from the forest and I took a step back. Have I made a mistake? Is it not him? What should I do now? But I know that it's him. There's no way I can run now, the stranger is getting near. One second and he leaped to grab me.

"Ah!!!" I screamed.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Audrey it's me. It's me." the stranger laughed and said those words before and I fainted. His hands grabbed my waist and supported my weight.

I can't open my eyes, I almost cried! He scared the heck out of me. I pushed him away from me when my heartbeat regulated. I want to kill this man for actually trying to give me a heart attack!

"Hey! Audrey calm down." He laughed and looked at me, what concerned me more are his eyes; they're not going back to normal. It's red, bloody red.

"Get away from me jerk! That's not funny!" I groaned and pushed him away again. He hugged me even though I kept punching his arms. It's like my punching is made out of steel.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I promise." He swore. He released me from his tight hug and I breathed air. I looked at him and right now, he looks like a majestic beast. Under the midnight, he's here in front of me.

"Your eyes are.. glowing, Troy."
