This is a revision of time periods.
So, because of recent episodes from Adventure time my theory has changed slightly however only with two pieces of recent data.
So in the new episode elemental a ice lady was unfrozen and if you notice due to her fashion and cell phone that she wasn't really from the 80s time period. My theory is that se is from the 90s, so I'm not sure if anyone remembers but before 2000 everyone was scared that ever missile would go off because computers or something
What if this wide spread fear was a realty in Adventure time universe. Imagine every nueclur missile just going off without warning. I guess you could say it would turn into a war. Not to mention if post mushroom war was the 80s then the war could be categorized as the cold war.
