Fiona and Cake, the gender bent versions of Finn and Jake, are Ice King's fanfic creations. It has never been reviled weather Fiona and Cake actually do exist in another dimensions(which could be possible) or Ice King became too lonely. I'm not sure exactly were Fiona and cake came from, but I do have some theories about it. One of them is that Fiona and cake did exist, they could have been the adventures before Finn and Jake. Plus Ice king would know who they were considering he had been around the longest, and Marcy could have been on one of her adventure, like the one in the first episode we see her in. Not to mention PB does have an uncle Gumball. Though this theories is unlikely because of many plot holes and new changes in the show. Another theories is that Ice King completely made it up, but made it up to represent how he sees himself ad how he wants others to see him.
This theories is a bit of a long shot and will probably be updated and changed in the future.
