Lonely, cold, outcasted.
These were the three words Dan Howell often used to describe himself. Coincidentally, he also often used these to describe Pluto.
Dan always had an attraction to space and it's out-of-this-world contents. He felt as if he could relate more to stars and planets than he could people. Consequently, Dan never bonded with his peers, creating a lonely childhood; empty in terms of friendship.
It's not that he wasn't capable of making friends, but rather he didn't want to. He was unable to form strong bonds with other people, often because he held a different, more cynical view on life.
To him, there was no happy ending, no light at the end of the tunnel, no Prince Charming...
Until he met Phil Lester.
