The Regenerating Tree.

Start from the beginning

"Can you please focus on running away from the rampaging extinct animal so I don't need to do this." I said, before yanking his arm so he was out of the way of a colossal rock.

Seriously, how could he not have seen that?

Just as I yanked him away, a strong warm wind hit is from behind and we went rushing into the air, but we stayed connected.

"It's going down, I'm yelling Timber!" Dominic shouted as gravity caught up to us and we started falling out of the air.

We landed on the ground 2 miles away from the dinosaur, somehow landing on our feet. "You better move, before I punch you in the face." Holly said, in the tone of the hit song. Before the sentence even went through my head, she lunged towards my boyfriend.

"Can you maybe not kill my boyfriend?" I asked her as she chased Dominic around the rocks surrounding us in a mad frenzy. "We haven't even really been on our first date yet."

Raymond huffed and out of the corner of my eye I saw him cross his arms. "Tell me about it. We should've at least been able to stay in the blank room after we left Paris, I never even got to talk to her about basically anything."

"We'll talk about this later. Dominic! Holly!" I shouted at the two people running and dodging around the huge metamorphic (ayyyy science) rocks. They poked their heads out from behind two separate chunks of rocks, noticed where the other one was, and growled at each other. I rolled my eyes. "We're currently running away from a huge carnivorous dinosaur and you guys choose to fight over this?"

Holly nodded, and Dominic smiled. "Sounds about right. On guard!" he shouted to Holly, running towards her, and she just ran towards him.

I cringed and looked away when they collided at full speed and fell down.

"Ugh," Holly groaned, starting to stand up and dust herself off. She looked down at Dominic and held her hand up for him to take. "Truce?"

Dominic repeated the word and took her hand to help him up. He dusted himself off and walked towards me. "Do I get a kiss for stopping the fight?"

I laughed. "I'll tell you what, you'll get a kiss if you don't try to fight Holly until we beat the next creature." He seemed happy with the answer and nodded his head enthusiastically. "Oh, you're totally gonna give me a smooch."

Holly grinned evilly at him. "Not if I have anything to say about it."

"Oh, come on, that's a death threat! Sienna, aren't you gonna shorten up the time so I don't die before kissing you?"

The conversation was cut off when it started pouring rain like there was no tomorrow, which there might not be, I guess, if we didn't do our job right. For a couple of teens who legit break everything they touch, that's an awful lot of responsibility. I'd almost think we were fictional characters...

Being in the middle of the desert, the sand beneath us turned to mush. "I thought it wasn't supposed to rain in deserts," I said, lifting a hand up as if to catch the raindrops in the palm of my hand.

"Well," Raymond said, sighing happily. "At least all the mother dinosaurs just decided that everyone should go inside and not eat the four innocent humans for dinner."
