CHAPTER 16

~still Kyle's p.o.v ~

I saw Johnnie in the bath tub. Thankfully he was only asleep but he was slowly slipping lower into the tub, and the tub was full of water. I ran over and lifted him up. I emptied the tub and tried to dry him. He woke up and freaked out. I backed away and waited outside.

When he came out he sat on the couch but didn't look at me. I was erie quiet.

"Thank you." He said still not facing me

I was confused and asked

"Why are you saying thank you?"

He finally faced me and said

"For saving me. I sleep walk and sometimes it's dangerous." He answered

I changed the subject and asked

"Would you like some breakfast?"

"Sure!" He said

"Pancakes?" I suggested

"Sounds great!" He said

I walked over to the kitchen and took out a pan and the pancake mix. I put the pan on the stove and made us each two pancakes. I finished cooking our food and brought it to the table.

~Johnnie's p.o.v ~

I finished eating and apologized for having to leave.

"Before I leave can I get your name?" I asked

He looked at me and clearing his throat said

"Kyle"

My eyes widened as my mind filled with memories of the past.

"Wait... Kyle David Hall?" I asked

His faced lightened up and he nodded.

"Well I got to go Kyle. I'll see you after work!" I said.

"I'll try looking for a job too!" He said cheerfully.

I headed out.

"YESS! HE REMEMBERS! " I screamed

I danced around the room and quickly finished my pancakes.

I hurried around town and actually got a part time job at the grocery store. I had to restock the shelves for my first day.

I left work at sunset and met Johnnie on the way home.

He smiled and said

"Looks like you got a job. I'm proud of you!"

I smiled and said

"Thanks! How was your day?"

"It was good. How was your day?" He said

"It was good!" I replied

We walked the rest of the way in silence.

At home we sat on the couch and watched TV.

~Kyle's p.o.v ~

"Hey Johnnie? " I called

He looked at me.

"Um...do- can we get to know each other more?" I hesitated to say.

"Sure" he said
