The new house seemed cold and lifeless. The plain white walls that surrounded the small boy made him feel intimidated and claustrophobic as he stood next to his mother, his tiny, chubby hand firmly grasping the end of her shirt.

"Now now, Seokjin. Your father and I am going to start unpacking. While we do that do you want to walk around the area and explore? Make sure you don't wander off too far though, okay? Stay close enough that we'll still be able to see you if we come outside."

Seokjin hesitantly nodded his head, his lips pressed in a thin line. He really didn't want to walk around alone in this strange new neighbourhood. But nonetheless he reluctantly left his mother's side. Even with his reluctance, the fresh breeze that hit his face as he left the suffocating house soothed him and he let out a small breath he didn't realise he was holding.

Standing in the drive-way Seokjin looked around him and noticed what looked to be a forest at the end of his street. He hadn't noticed that before on the drive to the house, or maybe he had. Looking back into his house he saw his parents chatting happily.

They wouldn't mind if he explored the forest a bit... right?

Even though he was only 9 Seokjin was a smart and mature boy for his age. Deep down he knew he shouldn't be going into the forest by himself in the first place, his mother did tell him to not wander where they can't see him, but the curiosity was gnawing at the back of his head.

Trying to ignore the inevitable consequences he would face when he got back he started walking towards the forest without another thought.

"Oh no."

Seokjin muttered as he glanced around the unfamiliar scenery. He could have sworn he had walking past that same tree three times already. The feeling as though he had been walking complete circles through the forest for hours and hours on end were starting to seem more true as time went on.

He cursed at himself under his breath, having heard his father say it when in an argument with someone on the phone, though he was smart enough to never say it in front of him. Why did he think this was a good idea? His parents would surely be worried by now.

The trees that loomed overhead seemed to be closing in on Seokjin, taunting the young boy as he tried to retrace his steps back home.

He could feel tears prickling and burning at the corners of his eyes as the sky began to grow dark and the weather began to cool drastically. The sun had been high and hot in the sky that he had deemed it suitable to only wears shorts and a t-shirt. But, now that dusk was coming and the tall trees blocked any warm sunlight that was left to fall on Seokjin's skin made the chilly air around him feel brutal.

Cold tear droplets began to stream down his cheeks as he increased his pace, his young fragile heart was beating frantically.

A terrified scream left the boys lips as his foot got caught on a tree root. Seokjin fell to the ground with a loud thumb, the hard rocks scraping at the skin of his knees and elbows.

Chocked sobs forced their way out of his chapped lips as he lied on the ground in a fetal position, all energy having already escaped his body. The sun had just about set and he felt as though all hope of returning home was lost.

Fear rose up in his stomach. He was never going to see his parents again...

Surprised and scared since he didn't hear the footsteps creeping up to him, Seokjin was jolted from his thoughts when he heard a deep, raspy voice from behind him.

"Hey, what are you doing here kid?"
