"That's not funny!" I yelled while trying not to cry. I hated it when Emily and Jess played mean tricks on me. "Oh come on Cry Baby it was just for fun!" Jess smriked at me. Cry Baby, that was her stupid nickname for me. I tried to speak but instead of words tears came out. I rushed out of the room and into the crowded hallways.
Everyone at school could see me but I didn't fucking care. Emily and Jess soon came chasing me and started calling out for me. I quickly hid behind a corner and that's when I heard the conversation that changed my life.
"Oh my God. What did you two do now?" A man asked, most likely Mike. Emily's new boy toy. "It was just harmless fun!" Emily scoffed back. "Well what's her name? Mike asked. "Cry Baby." Jess smiled.
That's when I stopped being known as Ashley McKinney and became Cry Baby.
