Kindred Spirits {Stiles Stilinski: Book Two}

Chapter 20

I wake up gasping for air. "Hey, hey, you're alright." Scott says. I take in my surroundings and I'm in a hospital bed. "What the hell happened?" I question. "I was gonna ask you the same thing. I found you on the floor not breathing." Scott states.

"I met the nogitsune. Let's just say that I have the lovely image of my boyfriend choking me out burned into my mind." I say. "Stiles did this to you?" Scott asks. "Not Stiles. Whatever that thing was is as far from Stiles as it can get. Where is he? What did he do?" I question getting out of bed.

"Nobody can find Stiles. He cut some electrical wiring and got a lot of people hurt. Isaac is not in good shape." Scott informs me. "Is there anything I can do?" I ask. "Not that I can think of. I'm gonna try to find Stiles." Scott states. "I'm not sure you want to." I say.

It's been two days since Stiles disappeared and there has been no sign of him. I haven't slept, I've barely fed, I'm weak in every sense. I've been staying in my own room doing a lot of self loathing. I've debated on calling Bonnie for a locator spell. Stiles wouldn't have left for this long, whoever this nogitsune is, doesn't want to be found.

Right now, I'm sitting with Melissa drinking coffee before school. "Any news?" Scott asks. "They're still looking for him. It's past the 48 hour mark, but I guess if anyone's going to be missing for two days and turn up fine, it's Stiles." Melissa answers.

"What about Isaac?" I question. "Maybe we should go by the hospital before school." Melissa suggests. "That would be great mom." Scott replies. "I'm up for it." I state.

We go onto the ICU floor and see Allison sleeping outside. Scott puts a hand on her shoulder waking her up. "Have you been here all night?" Scott questions. "Yeah they won't let me see him because I'm not family. I told them he doesn't have any." Allison answers.

"He's got us. And I've got a key card. Be quick." Melissa says letting us in. Isaac has electrical burns all over his body. "I thought he'd be healing by now." Allison states. "So did I." Scott agrees. "I know I can't heal him, but can I try taking his pain? I know I've never done it before, but this seems like a good time to try." I plead.

"Just grab his hand and focus on what he feels. Focus on the pain, before you know it you'll be taking it from him." Scott instructs. I grab his right hand while Scott grabs his left. I focus on his pain and there's a lot of it.

I start to experience it on a deeper level because I start taking it. The veins appear in my hands and I take as much as I can. It leaves a burning sensation all throughout my body, like lava is coursing through my veins.

"Did Stiles really do this?" Allison questions. "Whatever's controlling him did it. Whatever's inside of him." Scott clarifies. "Well then how do we get whatever's inside of him the hell out of him?" Allison asks. "I'm working on it." Scott answers.

We have to run for cross country again today. My gym locker is next to Kira's. I hear a faint beeping. "Do you hear that?" I question. "No. What do you hear?" Kira asks. "I think it's one of Argent's emitters." I state.

"What?" Kira questions. "It's a device that let's out a sound only werewolves can hear. I'm gonna check it out. Stay here." I instruct. I see Scott, Ethan, and Aiden in the hallway. "You hear it too?" I question.

"It's coming from the basement." Ethan states. We follow the noise and find Stiles. My body freezes for some reason. "Okay, I know what you guys are thinking, but it's me. I swear to God it's me." Stiles says. Ethan and Aiden charge at him, holding him up by the throat.

"Let him go." I demand ripping Ethan off of Stiles. Scott does the same, but Aiden growls at him. Scott alpha roars at him, and he calms down. "It's me. I swear it's me. I don't know where I've been for the last two days or what I've been doing, but this is me. I promise." Stiles states.
