This is my own poem, so please don't claim it as yours. Thank you xx
Every morning she wakes up and looks in the mirror.
She sees the black that has stained her face; a haunting memory of the tears cried the night before.
She isn't in control,
The dark shadow that haunts her every time she closes her eyes,
Every time she does something wrong,
All she hears is its mocking fill her ears.
Sometimes,
Even when she's done everything right,
She hears it in the back of her mind.
She's tried to tell people,
But fears she's insane.
She's constantly judged.
She's always living in the fear of doing something wrong.
She hates herself,
She's constantly reminded of how much of a failure she is.
How she'll never be good enough,
Or smart enough,
Or pretty enough,
Or just enough.
How she's never going to be loved,
How she's never going to be understood.
There is no therapy that can fix this.
SHE'S ALL ALONE.
There is NO HOPE.
She's fighting a losing battle,
And it has only just began.
