I sat at a bench and enjoyed the quick breeze . In my eyes , it was a beautiful night . It was calm and soothing . It could even put Jessie to sleep . I rocked myself back and forwards as I closed my eyes to relax myself .

I wish I had that loving , completed family that consisted of my mom and my dad . I wish my mom really cared for us and wanted to be with us . I wish she could break from her habits . I wish my dad wasn't so stressed and tired all the time . We used to always go out and have fun together .

I wish I wasn't so broken on the inside . I wish I still had my innocents and my purity . I wish I had the upmost confidence about myself . I wish I was pretty and strong enough to conquer the world .

Instead I'm scared and want to drown in my sleep . I hate the world for being this way , cruel and crooked . I hate it for consisting of people who's only motive to destroy others' happiness just to refurbish their own .

"Why are you out here?" My head snapped to the direction of where Haze was standing . I quickly wiped my tears away .

"W-why are you here?" I sniffled .

"I'm grown girl." He scoffed . "Now answer my question." He sat next to me on the bench . I started to feel intimidated by him .

"I'm just enjoying nature." I shrugged .

"Why were you crying?" He wiped a stray tear off my cheek .

"Nothing." I mumbled .

He sighed . "Well it's kind of too late for you to be out here . Your folks is okay with you being out?" His voice filled with concern .

I shrugged carelessly . "I rather be here anyway."

"That's the same thing my little niece said." He pointed to a girl that was seated on a swing across the park . She was analyzing the sky . She seemed relaxed .

"So you just brought her out here?" I turned to him .

"Yea . She only lives a couple houses down." He waves . "She seemed bothered so I walked her here to get her mind cleared." He glances at me . "I guess everyone could use a mind clearance."

"True." I said as I looked at the sky .

We sat in silence a little while longer until I felt it was time for me to go home.

"You need me to walk you?" He asks as I stood .

"No I'm fine but thank you." I smiled then walked away . I looked over my shoulder to see him walking to his niece . I squinted my eyes and realize that it was Courtney . She spotted me and waved . I returned the gesture and started walking .

When I arrived home , I went straight to my room to avoiding questioning .

I jumped at the person who was laying across my bed .

"What the .." I almost cursed .

"Better watch it." Her bravado echoed through my room .

"Tre what are you doing here?" I closed my door and stood at the end of the bed .

"Just came to chill with you . That's all." She sat up and I met her gaze . Something was bothering her .

"Im worried about you." I said quietly . She sighed and rubbed her face , dropping her hands on the bed .

"I'm worried about you too." She matched my tone , shamelessly fiddling with her fingers . I walked around the bed , wrapping my arms around her giving her as much comfort as I can .

We sat in silence for a little while until I broke it . "Ca-can you stay overnight?" I asked , internally praying that she'll accept my offer .

"Sure." She shrugs .

I changed into my sleeping clothes as she simply strips out of her tshirt , leaving her in her sports bra .

"Do my dad know you're here?" I asked when we got settled underneath the covers .

"Yea , he knows." She informs .

"Do Kaleb know?" I turned to her .

"Nope." She grunts as she turns on her side . "Night night." Her raspy voice announces .

"Night night." I turned over and closed my eyes . I soon heard her soft snores . I giggled to myself .

The feeling of discomfort arose in me . I opened my eyes , starring into the darkness .

"Tre." I whispered .

"Hm?" She hums .

"I want to go to different places." I mumbled .

"I want to go to sleep." She mutters .

"You think we can do that? You think one day we can travel the world?"

"I want to travel in my sleep now hush." She mumbles .

"I think that'll be cool." I smiled to myself as I thought of going to foreign places , only to escape reality .

"I just want to be free." I whispered as my bedroom door creeps open . "I want to be free from hurt and the pain I endure daily." I sniffled .

Kaleb peeps into my room but stopped when he saw another figure underneath my covers .

He points to Tre with a questionable look .

"It's Tre." I told him . The frown that appeared on his face gains incredible strength . He was beyond pissed . His eyes traveled to me then to her then back to me . I felt Tre turn over .

"You need anything Kaleb?" I heard her ask with annoyance dripping from her voice .

He scoffed then backed out of the room , his eyes never leaving mine . He closes the door .

"Creepy ass." Tre mumbles then turns back over to her original spot .
