The heavens opened soaking them as they woke with a start. Linc took the blanket covering them both as they make their way back to the house. By the time they got back Mel was chattering trying to stay warm.
"I love the rain," Linc said. "Especially after getting drenched."
"Why?" She asked looking up at him as he gave her a mischievous smile stepping closer to her.
"I love it because," he said as he slowly undid her buttons. "I get to warm you up all over, however I like," he whispered.
Mel scoffed stopping his hands.

"I can do that myself, nothing a warm shower and fire can't fix," she said seeing him smile devilishly at her.
"There is no warm water, and the firewood is already wet. It's just me left sweetheart."
Just then the lights went out.
"Did you plan all this," she asked clinging onto his shirt.
"Now why would I plan a power cut," Linc murmured against her lips wrapping his arms around her.

"Now what are we going to do" she whispered.
"Take a nice long bath."
"I thought you said there isn't any warm water."
"I lied," he laughed as he pulled her up the stairs using his phone as their source of light.

"Hmmm, remind me to have power cuts more often," Mel sighed as she stepped out of the tub.
"I can always just cut the power myself. And also not get a generator brought down."
"I don't think your babies would enjoy some time without electricity."
"Well they are going to love it. Adapt to any situation. Back then people survived without it, so why can't we from time to time," he said blowing out most of the candles in the room carrying one into their room.
"Well as long as you are around to keep us safe, I have not objections," Mel said.
"Always love," he said with a smile taking a seat.
"It's rude to stare," Mel said noticing he was already done changing into his pajama pants.
"Just enjoying the view," he said as she did his shirt up rolling up the sleeves.
"Shouldn't you be keeping warm, I don't want you falling ill."
"I have the best doctor and besides I left my socks at home," she said before she felt something hit her back.
A pair of socks rolled onto the ground as she giggled at the pair.

"Sponge bob, how cute," she giggled as she put them on.
"I just took them because of the bright color when we did our grocery shopping," Linc defended himself.
"If you say so," she teased before finding herself in his arms.
"Let's see who will feed that starving little body if yours?"
"Now darling, what about the baby," she said looking at him innocently.
"He or she will be alright, but you on the other hand, wait and see," he smirked pulling her out if the room.

Linc chuckled at the oversized sweat pants she had on realizing they were his.
"You have my shirt on, now my pants too."
"Hey I forgot mine, and I knew you would have yours. Besides you refused for us to do a little shopping," she murmured pulling the pants up as Linc laughed at her facial expression.
"A little shopping?" He asked as she smiled deviously in his direction.
Turning on the grill, he started preparing their burgers after Mel finished preparing their salad.
"Now I remember why I married you," Mel moaned enjoying the burger.
"For my looks, romantic whims, charm, to make babies," he said as she laughed his last comment.

"No, for your culinary skills," she said as he chuckled.
"Ah yes, I can cook anywhere can't I, in the office, kitchen, bed, bathroom, anywhere really," he said making her laugh.
"Are you going to be like this the whole night?"
"It is a full moon," he said as they looked out. "The beast has been unleashed," he said in a low but deep and serious tone.
She burst into laughter, "You better keep that beast on a tight leash, or else I will call in my reinforcements," she said.
"I forgot to tell you. I am immortal and tonight I am out for 'chocolate'," he said wiggling his eyebrows.

"I'll have you know my husband can slay any beast," she said with a proud smile.
"Well tell him there is a new sherif in town. And I ain't going nowhere," he said sitting back in his chair laughter and lust showing in his eyes as she laughed.
"Are you sure you want to get in the way of a jealous man?"
He nodded his head yes, as she placed her napkin down.
"Because I don't want anyone crying over a bad boo boo," she added as he stood up.
"I don't get boo boos, I dish them out," he said in a gruff voice.
"What if I am the one who is hurt."
"I can make you forget about all the pain and focus on the pleasure curtesy if the beast," he smiled.
"I am beginning to like this beast," she whispered as he pulled her into his arms.
"Like? You have no choice but to love him," he whispered giving her a kiss that started out brutal and punishing before turning sweet and slow.
