How To Be Human

Warren's POV - First

Iwanted to roll my eyes. If I wasn't going to drag Alexa down with me,I sure as hell wasn't going to drag her mother as well. "I'm not anidiot."

"Really?"She snorted. "You could've fooled me." I whipped my head towardsher, slapping the back of her head playfully. I would never actuallydo anything that would really hurt her, no matter how pissed off shecould possibly get me. I'm surprised she hasn't figured it out yet. Icouldn't hurt her even if I wanted to.

Whenwe finally got to her mother's house, the first thing I saw was thesmall car parked in the driveway. I smirked the same time Alexa sworeunder her breath. I flipped out of the car with as much speed aspossible. She said something behind me, but I ignored her, dashing upthe stairs to the old-fashioned house. I rang the doorbell once asAlexa finally caught up with me.

"Please,please, please don't embarrass me," She pleaded, giving me thoseeyes I don't think I could ever say no to. I had this thing entirelyplanned out already, so before she could do anything, I grabbed ahold of her waist, pulling her towards my chest. She stumbled into meand I tried not to think how amazing it felt when she was so closeby. "What the hell do you think you're - "

Imanaged to keep a straight face when the door opened and Alexa'smother appeared. She looked like Alexa, but in a slightly olderversion. Alexa had darker hair, though, while she had light hair.Alexa stopped herself from going any further and smiled at hermother. "Alexa? Such a surprise to see you here! And who is this?"

Hereyes wafted to mine and I offered her a heart-melting smile. "Iknow, such short notice. This is, um, Warren, he's my - "

"Newboyfriend," I cut her off swiftly. "We wanted to give you thenews in person." The look Alexa gave me was priceless. I wish Icould've taken a picture of it and kept it in my wallet.

Alexa'smom looked terribly shocked at the news. "What? Oh my God, I'm sohappy! I thought you were turning lesbian because you haven'ttalked about any boys ever since - oh what was his name? Herbert?"

"Gerber,mom. Gerber," Alexa whispered, looking like she just swallowed asour candy. My eyes lit up and I flashed her the dirtiest smirk Icould possibly do. I was already loving her mom.

Hermother just chuckled happily. "Come in, come in! I'm so happyyou're here!"

Webustled through the small, cozy house. It smelted faintly of cinnamonand I loved the atmosphere it gave off. Alexa and I sat on her couchwhile she took a seat in her chair. I sat close to Alexa on purpose,just to make her uncomfortable. My hand slid down the small of herback, right down to her ass. I wanted to keep it there, but shesmacked it away.

"So,how long have you been together?" She asked, giggling.

Alexathrew me a smug look. She wanted me to answer all the questionsbecause she didn't think I had all the answers. She was in for a hugesurprise. "Almost six months, now."

Hermother melted while Alexa was burning up. This was one of the bestdays of my entire life. "How adorable. You both look so in love."
