Funny little girl

This isn't a Fan fiction  just something that made me laugh

So this happen at the doctors, my brother had to get his chest looked at because he was finding it hard to breath, when his name was finally called he and my mother because went while I stayed in the waiting room because well three a crowd so I stayed behind with my mother handbag and all

After a few minutes a mother and her daughter sat down next to me, the little girl next to me and the mother on the other side , the mother was on phone and the little girl started to get restless, bouncing around and trying to get her mother attention when the mother got off the phone she started questioning her about school asking her about her reading or something and if she had done the work

The little girl kept mumbling replies and the mother seemed to get a little annoyed and asked her again but more sternly (you know when your mum doesn't quite rise her voice but doesn't give the sweet motherly voice that 'Have YOU done it' kind of thing ) the little girl seemed to girl embarrassed that her mother was telling her off in front of me and that the mother seemed to use me to try get her to listen

"Have YOU done your reading homework?

".......yes....dunno"

"I can't hear you, speak up"

"......dunno...yes..."

"You need to speak up when your talking like a big girl"

"...I am..."

"No, your not you have to big girl like her"

So for awhile the mother was trying to use me as an example to try get child to behave and answer her question, which is fine with me because I knew why she was using me because I was in uniform and was reading a book on my iPad so I guess she using me because the little girl was trying to act all grown up so having her mum basically tell her your not that grown up on front of someone older was embarrassing for her

"If you want to be a big girl like her and read big girl books have to tell me about your reading"

By this time the little girl started to speak up alittle more

"I can read big girl books"

" Really then tell me about your reading"

"Ive done it, I did it a long time ago!"

"Then why didn't you just tell me that"

"Because!"

"You know big girls just tell their mothers instead of mumbling, because when you get to high school like her I won't always be their to help

"I Know, I know it did like ten years ago!"

And that's when the pin dropped and what made me laugh because this little girl was about in year 2 making her 8 or 7 so having her say she did ten years ago made me laugh because she hang been alive for ten years

When mother and brother came back the where wondering why I was trying not to laugh the mother knew why I was laughing and gave me the awkward smile saying'I know she's hasn't been alive for that long'

I don't know if you found this funny but it was funny at the time because she said so confident about her answer and didn't realise she hasn't been alive for that long
