03. Breakfast with Dee

I sit on my bed looking at my phone, waiting for a response.

Wanna do breakfast? - Daniel👀, 8:43am

Okay. Cafe Trio at 10 - Nicole👑, 8:44am

See you then - Daniel👀, 8:44am

I'm currently wearing some denim shorts, a black crop top and a large baseball shirt over the top, like a jacket.

I put on some light makeup. I tie my hair up into a tight bun on top of my head, leaving a few wisps down on either side of my head.

I pick out some white frilly socks and slip them on before putting on my white low cut Air Force 1's.

I make my way downstairs into the kitchen where I can hear my mom cleaning up.

"Morning mama" I say giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning bayby. Where ya off to?"

"Breakfast with a friend" I say vaguely.

"Alright then what's up?"

"Nothing. Today is a free day so I might just go to the studio"

"Alright. See you later"

"Love you mama" I say making my way out, grabbing my purse off the table by the door.

I arrive outside of Cafe Trio and see his car parked a few spaces away from mine. I slip on my shades and grab my purse off the passenger seat. I make my way in and look around. I walk over to the table where he's sat and slide in opposite him.

"Hey" I say smiling.

"Hey. How are you?" He says back, putting his phone down.

"I'm good. You?"

"I'm good" he says. He remains silent for a few moments.

"I've ordered for you. Still the same right?"

"Yea. You remember?"

"Obviously. I remember a lot of things" the waiter comes over, breaking the awkward silence. Both our meals are placed in front of us.

We both begin eating in a more comfortable silence.

"Since when did you wake up so early anyway? Responding to me before 9"

"I've been at the gym. Can't you see all this muscle" he says flexing making me laugh.

"I guess you do look a little stronger"

"A little? Gaarn somewhere" we both laugh.

"So when do you graduate?" He asks.

"May 24th you?"

"On Friday. Music degrees ain't shit man. I been doing this since the beginning"

"Yea I get you but I have reasons for wanting a music degree"

"What are those reasons?"

"I want to do like part time in music therapy. I changed my minor to health and social after the first year"

"You already famous though?"

"Yea but I wanna help people too. What are you doing?" I say before taking a bite of my bread.

"I wanna find my sound but I've had mad writers block for the past few years"

"Yea? I'm still good in the studio if you need help"
