Window View (Incomplete)

2:00 p.m

I rushed to put every thing in Jessie's small backpack . It was 2:00 in the afternoon and the wedding starts at 2:30 . I wanted to get there early so I could get a good seat but I see that we won't have the chance to grasp one .

"You fixed her bottles?" My dad , Sean , barges into the kitchen with a look of frustration , panic and relief all in one .

"Yes . Got changing clothes?" I turned to him . He glances at the ceiling then frantically snaps his fingers as he races to the back of the house .

I shook my head as I laughed . My father is sometimes forgetful but I don't blame him though . It's kind of stressful to get everything together , especially in the last minute . We all woke up around 1:00 . Thank God that we have two bathrooms .

"Morning beautiful." My uncle , Kaleb , kisses my forehead. I flinched and moved from him . I heard when he chuckled then went to scan through the refrigerator . I glared at the back of his head . He was still dressed as if he's was staying in all day so I'm guessing he isn't coming to the wedding . He didn't have on a shirt but he wore a pair of joggers that ackwardly showed off his morning budge .

"Come on dad! We're going to be late!" I yelled to him as I went to get Jessie . She was sitting in the middle of the living room , watching Bubble Guppies . Thats her favorite show .

"Lets go Jessie!" I said excitedly as I picked her up . She started to smile and giggle . She's so goofy .

"Im coming . I'm coming." He saids as he jogs into the living room with a few of Jessie's outfits . He tosses me the outfits and I wasted no time placing them into her backpack .

"You're not coming to the wedding unc?" My dad turns to the direction of the kitchen . Kaleb then walks into the living room which made my dad frown .

"Naw I'm coming to the reception though." Kaleb yawned .

My dad stands in front of me . "Why not choose something that isnt so revealing , huh?" My dad snaps. "Go on to the car Lani." He demands . I happily obeyed . I'm glad my daddy has spoken up because I did feel uncomfortable .

"My bad man." I heard Kaleb say before i exited the house .

Even though I was at the car , I could hear my dad voice . He was yelling and it was pretty intimidating.

I strapped Jessie into her car seat as well as placing her bag into the backseat . I got in the passenger seat and waited on my father .

"Lani." Jessie pronouces .

"Yes Jessie?" I turned in my seat so i could look at her . She didnt do anything but laugh .

"I must be ugly or something?" I chuckled .

Soon after , my dad comes out and jogs to the car , hurriedly jumps in and starts the car.

"Y'all good?" He asks me .

"Yelp." I smiled .

"Good." With that being said , we were on our way to the wedding .

The church was really packed . I was upset because I wanted to be in the front . I wanted to get a good view of my auntie's dress . My auntie is my mother's younger sister . She's getting married to a doctor which I thought was pretty cool .
