forty-four :: maya meets reveals

"I swear I saw him," I was pacing back in forth in Lucas and I's apartment.

"Maya, maybe you imagined him or something," Lucas shrugged off the subject like it was no big deal.

"I can't even describe what it was like," I sighed, "Maybe I just need more rest."

"Or you can eat healthier," Lucas suggested.

"I'd rather die," I yelled back at him.

Once I realized what I was putting into my body effected not only me, but my baby's I called back to him, "Maybe I should eat healthier."

I walked into the living room and sat on our couch. Lucas wasn't far behind and he sat next to me as I turned on the TV.

"I thought you wanted to get some rest," He laid his hand on my thigh.

"I was, but then I realized there is a Friends marathon this morning," I said turning it to the right channel.

We were half way through an episode when I felt nauseous. When I couldn't control it I ran into the bathroom and puked in the toilet.

Lucas ran in and held my hair as I continued to vomit.

Once I was done I washed my face and my hands, luckily nothing go in my hair.

While I was brushing my teeth Lucas asked, "Why did you throw up?"

"Maybe I ate something bad," I spit out my toothpaste.

"It's 7 am we haven't ate anything yet," Lucas said back to me.

"You're right it's 7, and we're going to miss school so get in the shower," I laughed.

"It would save water if you came in with me," He smirked.

"In your dreams Friar," I said walking out of the bathroom.

"But wifey!" I heard him yell and I laughed and went to our bedroom to get ready.

"Ugh, I hate this place." I groaned as Lucas and I walked to school.

"Good luck in study skills," He teased me.

"Lucas, you should take study skills," I offered.

"That class is for people who are failing everything else, maybe you should try not being in study skills."

"Good point," I said as the bell rang.

"Have a good day, babe." Lucas kissed my forehead before we went our separate ways.

I walked into study skills and sat in a comfy chair with the intention of sleeping all period, but of course an ass hat had to ruin it for me.

"Hey Maya," Jacob said sitting beside me.

"Go away," I spat feeling nauseous again.

"You look a bit green," Jacob said staring at my face.

"I'm fine," I said relaxing, at least this time I wasn't going to puke.

"Your boobs look bigger than usual," Jacob said and I sat up instantly.

"Stop staring at my boobs you creep." I looked at him disgusted.

"I knew there was something up with you," Jacob said.

"Tell him Maya," A voice came from behind me which I instantly recognized was Josh.

I looked over at Josh who was smiling down at me, like the angel I once saw him as.

"Maya, what are you looking at?" Jacob asked me.

"I thought there was something behind me," I murmured. 

"So, are you going to tell me what's up?" Jacob asked me.

"No," I sat slouching in my chair trying to get comfortable.

"Tell him Maya," Josh said again.

I felt so stressed out. Jacob was being the ass he always is, Josh keeps showing up making me feel insane. Then I have this baby that clouds all my thoughts, which stresses me out even more. What if I'm a terrible mom? What if Lucas and I aren't financially stable enough for a baby, will I have to put the baby up for adoption?

"Tell him Maya,"  I heard Josh's voice surround me, "Tell him."

"I'm pregnant, okay?!" I yelled out loud. 

"What?" I heard a soft voice say. This time it didn't belong to Josh, or Jacob. It belonged to Lucas.

A/N: See guys the writers were right, it's not a love triangle! It's a square with Maya, Jacob, Lucas, and Maya's abusive ex boyfriend who is a ghost.
