She ran through the woods, pumping her legs quickly. She felt her canines start to grow and her fingernails growing long and thin. Her eyes turned their icy blue color.

A branch snapped in the distance, and she took of running again. Her [H/C] hair flowed behind her. She heard crunching of leaves on the forest's floor, yet she knew it wasn't her feet causing the leaves to crumble.

The air was warm, but the sun wasn't shining. It was a late summer night, so she knew she was going to be the only person still left in the dark forest.

The people chasing her shouted, stopping, and bringing their guns upwards towards the running girl. These were expert marksmen, and they hunted her kind as a living.

As they shot bullets at the running girl, she heard something else in the woods. And it wasn't just something; it was someone. She focused her hearing towards the person, and she soon saw them. She could tell just by his scent that he wasn't a werewolf, but she had to save him. The hunters would shoot him, and she felt that she couldn't let that happen.

She caught up to the boy, and she looked in the direction of the hunters, her eyes shining blue. She looked at the boy, who stared in the direction that the ggirl was looking at.

"What's going on?" He asked, his brown eyes filled with question.

"Come with me if you want to live." She said, her eyes still a blue, her claws still shown, her canines still long and pointy. The boy nodded frantically, and the girl yanked his arm towards the exit of the woods. The boy then came to a sudden stop, holding his hands out to the side, indicating that he had stopped.

"Why did you stop?" She hissed.

"Well, its a road." He shrugged. The girl rolled her eyes, before turning around to look at the forest. She couldn't see the hunters, but she could still smell their scent. She heard a gun shot, but she couldn't move out of the way in time, so the bullet ended up hiting her.

"Oh my God...are you okay?" The boy asked.

"Just...go! Anywhere where we can be safe!" The girl yelled. The boy took off leading the girl where to go. The stopped outside of a building with a sign marked with 'Beacon Hills Vet'. The lights were still on, and the boy knew that his boss was still there.

He opened the door, looking ot behind him, turning the sign to closed, and flipping the light switch so that the building was dark. They watched as the hunters ran past the building, carrying a numerous amount of guns.

"Who are they?" The boy asked.

"Hunters." The girl breathed out, looking at the wound in her side. It was coating in blood, but she could feel it healing.

"Hey Doc!" The boy yelled. A man came rushing into the lobby of the vet.

"Scott, what is going on?" The man demanded. His eyes landed on the wounded girl, who's eyes were still glowing blue. "Who is this?" He spoke.

"This is...uh-" Scott started.

"[Y/N]." The girl replied.

"Do you have a last name?" Scott asked, turning to face the girl.

"If I told you, you'd think I was insane." She said.

"Well, lets fer you cleaned up." The doctor said, walking the two teenagers into the back room. [Y/N] examined all of the medicines in the room. In the center stood a lone metal table.

"If you could lay down on the table so I can inspect that bullet wound, I'm sure you wouldn't be in much pain." The doctor spoke. She looked down at the bloody wound, and nodded. She carefully lay down on the table.

"Uh, Doc, do you know what your doing?" Scott asked.

"Yes. I do. Surprisingly, I've worked with a lot of patients like her." He said, grabbing tweezers. He started to inspect the wound. He saw the bullet, and he reached into the wound to get it. She screamed in pain, but the bullet was soon out of her.

"She lost a lot of blood. She might not be able to heal as fast as she could." The doctor said, bandaging up the open wound. He looked at the bullet in the small metal tray, and washed it off. He saw the incoding of the Argent family symbol, and the light blue smoke filtering it's way out of the bullet's shell.

"She won't survive long." The doctor said, turning back around to face the girl. "Unless if there is another one of these bullets that you have."

"What do you mean?" Scott asked. The doctor held up the bullet, showing the blue smoke vaperising out of the bullet. The girl growled, and muttered something to herself. Scott looked at the girl with a questioning look.

She sighed. "The only antidote is another bullet to be crushed and placed inside the wound. Once you get shot, you only have a twently-four hour limit."

"Then we need to get another bullet. Do you know where they are from?" Scott asked.

"Unfortunately, no. They move all over the place. They just moved around here, but it would take us over my time limit to find them and steal another bullet from them." She muttered.

"Great." Scott whispered.

(Twenty-three 1/2 hours later)

Scott and [Y/N] sat on the floor of the vet, their backs leaned up against the wall. Black coated the female werewolf's lips since she had vomited black and was slowly dying.

"Why did you save me?" Scott asked.

The girl looked at him and spoke. "I felt like I need to protect you. If I didn't get you out of the woods in time, you would've been dead. You're innocent. You did nothing wrong, and if you died because nothing, I couldn't live with it." She said, her voice cracked a couple of times, and it was raspy and hoarse. She started to shake, and her breathing was unsteady. She couldn't breath, and the doctor demanded that Scott help him place her on the metal table. Scott did as he was told, and she grabbed his hand, and held it tight.

She couldn't handle the amount of pain anymore.

"Hale." She whispered.

"What?" Scott asked.

"Hale. It's my last name." She said. Her breathing was incredibly slow, and the light from her eyes dimmed. Finally, her breathing gave out, and her body became lifeless.

"No..." Scott whispered. He let go of the girl's hand, and covered his mouth with his hand, backing up.

"Scott, its okay." The doctor said.

"No. Its not okay." Scott whispered.

(One year later)

"Do you know why I can't let anyone else die? Why it seems like I have to protect them?" Scott said to his best friend Stiles. Stiles shook his head.

"Someone once told me that they felt like I needed to be protected, and if I got hurt, they couldnt live with the pain. After this person died, I wanted to be like them. I wanted to protect everyone because if something happened to them, I wouldn't be able to live with that pain." Scott explained.

"Must have been one smart person." Stiles said. Scott nodded.

Scott only knew that [Insert your name here] was one of the Hale family members. He didn't want to mention anything to Derek, because he didn't want to remember watching her die. But what Scott didn't know was when [Insert your name here] let out her final breath, Derek felt something inside of him that signalled that his twin had died.
