She dotted her face with concealer, dotting heavy where the purple marks were. She took the sponge and gently blended it all before making sure to add more coverage by caking her face with foundation. Some marks were harder to cover so she added more of the foundation to them and blended. Some were just too dark to cover still. She sighed, leaning back in her chair as she stared into the mirror. This had to stop, but who could she go to?

It began about a couple of months ago when her relationship with her father started to become abusive. It wasn't bad at first, simply yelling insults at each other like she remembers her father and her mother did, but then it moved physical when he had slapped her one night to get her to "shut up". When he realized what he did, he didn't bother apologizing. He simply said that if anyone found out, she'd be in huge trouble.

Not wanting to take a risk, she covered her face with makeup every morning before school. She knew she should've told her friends, but with half of them being supernatural creatures and Stiles' father being the Sheriff of Beacon Hills, her father would be sent to jail or worse.

As she left for school, her father grumbled behind her and gave her a slight shove that sent her tumbling down the stairs. He snorted and walked into the bathroom. She slowly stood up, wincing from the pain and new bruises that probably polka-dotted her body, and left the house, slamming the door behind her.

Lydia always picked her up in the morning, and (as always) was right on time. [Y/N] got into the car, and gave a slight smile to the redhead before she drove off. The conversation never stopped even as they got out of the car once they arrived at the high school, although it was mostly Lydia talking about how her classes were going and pack news [Y/N] had missed out on.

Scott, Kira, Stiles, and Malia greeted the two girls as they waited outside of the school. After small talk and occasional laughs and giggles, they decided to walk inside. They spotted Theo and called to him, and he smiled with a small wave, although it seemed directly to [Y/N] than the whole group. There was something about the girl that caught his attention and saying he fell head over heels for her was an understatement: he was utterly in love with her. He had talked to her on multiple occasions of course, and he was always thankful she was only human or else she would've easily heard his heart racing. She was so caring and so smart, not to mention she was probably the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, though he wished she didn't wear as much makeup as she did.

As the school day carried on, [Y/N] almost forgot about how her father had been treating her. She had grown rather happy until she was in the last period and remembered that she had to be home in an hour or so. She begged the clock to not tick on, but she knew nothing would change; she had to return home.

She lingered outside the building as she waited for her friends to leave their assigned classrooms and chatted away with them, but she couldn't hold them at the school that long. Scott and Stiles had to go to practice. Kira and Lydia planned to study for their history exam. Malia had detention. Theo probably had things going on so she didn't bother asking him.

"Pack meeting later tonight?" Scott asked the group and [Y/N] felt herself nod in anticipation. "We'll meet at Derek's loft around eight? Does that work for everyone?" They all agreed and then dispersed to their cars and motorcycles. She sat in the backseat of Lydia's car and felt her heart start to race as Lydia drove closer and closer to her house.

"Are you alright, [Y/N]?" Kira asked, turning around to look at the girl. "Your heartbeats are going crazy."

[Y/N] nodded. "Yeah," She swallowed, trying to calm herself down. "I'm just thinking about graduation and college and such," She let out a fake laugh and Lydia squinted her eyes in the rearview mirror. "You guys know how I sike myself out with that stuff."
