Percy was standing in front of Zeus' cabin for ten minutes already. He couldn't find it in himself to actually knock on the wooden door to even find out if Jason was inside. He felt  ridiculously nervous and kind of scared. It just felt so wrong to be at a building that represented Zeus, the one of many gods that despised Percy. Percy was used to breaking the rules for sure, but this? This felt like a bad feeling. You know the one? Your gut and stomach feel like they are in an infinite amount of knots, you are nauseous, and you feel like the absolute guiltiest person in the world. That's precisely what Percy felt like.

He sucked in a quick, forced breath as he held his hand up to firmly knock. He did. One, two, three times...and then a fourth...and a fifth knock. Being annoying was Percy's natural forte.

"Alright, alright, I'm coming! Shut up already! Gods," Jason's muffled voice yelled from inside the cabin. For some unexplainable reason, that made Percy smile like a total idiot. He just missed that obnoxious blondie. He couldn't stop smiling even when Jason flung open the door. What made Percy lose his smile was when he saw Jason's angry and tear-stained face.

"Of course. I always knew the gods wanted to punish me," the blonde grumbled lowly to himself and went to shut the door in Percy's face. Percy stared at him with sad, green eyes. How could he bring so much pain and sadness to one person? He felt like an awful person for doing this to the one individual he cared most about. He obviously needed to fix everything.

"Oh what the Hades, Jas!" Percy scrambled to keep the door open. Both men were trying their hardest to get what they wanted; Percy wanted in, Jason would rather not let Percy get his way. The battle of strength was definitely being tested, and let's just say that Percy had no chance of winning this. Sure, he had gotten stronger over the past years, but Jason has been training daily for battles and combat. Jason notoriously had the upper hand here. The door shut in his face. Harshly. Percy tried all of his methods of trying to get Jason to open the door. He tried knocking a bunch, busting open the door, begging him, everything. Absolutely nothing worked. But then, after a few minutes, Percy finally thought of the best solution.

"Jason, please," Percy started his confession off as he sat down next to the door. "I didn't want to leave. I honestly mean that. Your dad, Jas, threatened me after the first time we slept together. He told me he would hurt my mom. Granted, I didn't believe him because I thought Poseidon would get involved right away to help protect her from any harm. You know me though. I'm always wrong," Percy harshfully laughed. "She was almost in a huge car crash the day after we slept with each other for the second time. Jason, she was almost killed after I was threatened. It obviously wasn't some coincidence. It was a warning sign directed straight towards me.  I just couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to happen if I didn't follow Zeus' orders. So that night, after I was given the vicious warning, I packed everything and fell off the face of the earth. I prayed to Zeus to send me where nobody would be able to find me. I guess he thought it would be funny to put me on Calypso's island. Zeus told me if I didn't stay there until you hated and forgot about me, he wouldn't mind laying a finger on you," Percy paused for a moment, catching his breath. "Jason, you have to understand that I didn't want to leave you. It was torture being gone from you. I missed your voice and your...everything. But I had to do it. I had to protect you and my mother from your father. I cherished us since the very beginning. I didn't want you to hate me. I wanted you to love me because I love you."

As soon as Percy finished his sentence, thunder crackled in the far distance, unable to make its way into the camp. Percy looked up to the sky, unsure of what to do next. Had he just sealed his mother's fate?

"How did you get back?" Jason's voice was right by Percy. He must've sat down on the opposite side of the door when Percy was explaining everything.

"I have no clue. I woke up on a random New York sidewalk. I'm guessing Zeus assumed you hated me enough that I come come back and at least get reunited with my mom. I don't think he thought I was going to come back here and talk to you."

"He must be pissed," Jason forced a weak laugh. He was apprehensive with this whole thing. His father knew he and Percy had a fling? His father would try to hurt his son if Percy didn't listen? All because he didn't want Percy with him? It was just crazy to wrap his head around. Jason's mind was racing as fast as the speed of light.

"Percy... You've been gone for so long. I didn't know what to do without you."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry, please forgive me. Please, Jas," Percy pleaded. His voice started to catch in his throat. He was filled to the brink with emotional pain. He put his hands to his face, trying to hide his tear-stained face. He hadn't even realized he started to cry. He felt like a complete baby for crying. Maybe he should leave so Jason wouldn't hear him being pathetically emotional. Percy started to get up to make his way back to Annabeth's cabin.

It was too late for him though because Jason cautiously opened the door, his eyes trained on the demigod sitting before him. Least to say, Jason's heart broke a little when Percy looked up with tears rolling down his rosy-cheeked face. Jason mustered up all of his will power to make out a complete sentence; one which would be plastered on Percy's memory forever.

"Percy, I'd be a fool to not forgive you."
