When we arrived at school, my friends were surprised I wasn't with Carson.
"Where's Carson?" Danasia asked. Aidan looked at me with his soft green eyes.
"So, that's his name." He said. I nodded at him.
"Mayday, mayday!" Abby said. I looked at her confused. She nudged her head and I turned around. Carson was walking towards us. He put his arm around me and looked at Aidan dead in the eyes. I hit my elbow against his side and he took his hand off. It was silent and my friends were looking around awkwardly.
"Well, Aidan and I have to go to class. We'll see you guys there." I said as I grabbed his hand and started walking. When Aidan and I left, my friends were talking to Carson.
"What does she see in him?" Carson asked. Abby smiled at Joey.
"Looks like someones getting jealous." Abby said. Carson looked at her funny.
"I'm not jealous, I'm worried about what trouble he will get her in." He said to them. They giggled at him and then were serious.
"Carson, you had put her in trouble yet she wanted to be with you." Danasia said as she put her hand on his shoulder and left. Abby and Joey nodded and followed Danasia to class. Carson stood there thinking about what she said. I had every period with Aidan except 2nd, 6th, and 7th. Second period came and Carson sat next to me.
"Hey beautiful." He said smiling at me. I looked at him confused.
"Um, hey." I said. He scooted his chair closer to mine.
"What are you doing?" I asked annoyed yet smiling.
"Just sitting next to my girl." He said. I had a flashback when he said girl. Aidan telling me that I was Carson's.
"You don't have to do that." I said as I scooted away. He scooted closer to me again.
"But I WANT too." He said. I looked at him annoyed and down at my work. I put my head down. He looked at me sweetly.
"Tell me what you want." I told him as I looked at the board.
"Well, I want you to talk to me without it being awkward." He said to me.
"Well, that's not possible." I said as I wrote stuff in my journal.
"It wasn't when we had the project." He said. I sighed and wrote some more. He faced the board and sighed too. At the end of class, we had free time and I asked Carson about Aidan. I knew he was jealous so I messed with him.
"So, you know Aidan?" I asked him. He nodded at me weirded out. "Isn't he hot?" I asked.
"No!" He said as he raised his voice. I looked at him smiling. He looked down at his feet. "Sure. If you say so." He said to me. I started laughing.
"I'm just kidding. I don't like him that way." I told him.
"Oh, I thought you liked him." He said. I shook my head at him.
"Nope." I said. He sighed happily and looked at me smiling.
"Why don't your parents like me?" I asked him.
"Those aren't my real parents. My actual parents died in a car crash." He said. I looked at him then in his eyes.
"I'm sorry. I thought those were your real ones." I said to him. He just looked at me. I leaned on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
"You know something?" I said.
"What?" He asked.
"I wasn't even mad at you. I was mad at your parents and...myself." I said as I opened my eyes and took my head off his shoulder.
"Why were you mad at yourself?" He asked.
"I don't know. Most people don't like me like your parents." I said to him.
"I don't care what my parents think. I've brought a lot of girls they didn't like. A LOT of girls." He said. I looked at him rudely. He cleared him throat and looked at me smiling. I smiled back at him.
"How many girls have you dated?" I asked him.
"Let's just say I didn't love them like I do to you." He said. I giggled a little and smiled at me.
"Oh, and by the way, don't be mean to Aidan. He's new here and I don't want someone to hate him on the first day." I told him. He sighed at me.
"Do I have to?" He asked. I looked at him annoyed. "Ok, OK. I'll be nice to him. Why don't you invite him to lunch?" He asked me. I looked at him.
"I already have." I said as I got up and left the classroom since the bell ring.
