"So how are you and Carson doing?" Haley asked.
"Well, good. Except my dad saw us kiss." I said chuckling. Haley, Abby, and Danasia started laughing.
"It's not funny. I'm pretty sure my dad thinks Carson is a bad boy." I said. My friends looked at each other.
"What? Tell me." I said.
"Well, he seems like one...a little." Abby said." I mean he did lie to you how many times? He also kissed your enemy." She said.
"Wowww." I said confronted. Danasia and Haley looked down at their feet. I looked at them.
"Guys?" I asked questionably. They didn't say anything.
"Ok, fine. That's whatever. I have to go to class....see you guys later. Maybe." I said and walked away. Second period I saw Carson. He walked up to me and sat in the seat next to me.
"Hey, Seun." Carson said. I looked at him then the front board to write down an equation. He looked at me strangely.
"Are you alright?" He asked me."Yep, I'm completely fine." I said at I accidentally broke my pencil. I groaned.
"I feel like your mad at me." He said." Did I do something wrong? " he asked.
"Well, yes and no." I said. He looked confused. I just looked at him and faced my work.
"Can we talk about this later?" He asked.
"There's nothing to talk about." I said. He signed and wrote something on a piece of paper. He handed it to me and I read it. I stared at it. I ripped it up and threw it at his face. He picked up the pieces and said,"I love it when you give me a hard time." That made me smile a little bit.
"You know." He said whispering. "I would like to take you out on another date." I looked at him.
"I'm good. I rather stay home." I said. He smirked.
"You need to have some fun. Invite your friends too come." He said.
"I have work and chores to do." I said. He looked at me strangely.
"You just don't want to hang out with me?" He asked. I looked at him.
"Nope. I don't mess with bad boys." I said looking down at my work questions. He looked at me like I was crazy.
"I'm not a bad boy. I get straight A's, I have a great family, and I'm nice." He said getting offended.
"You lied to me and kissed another girl." I said rudely. He looked at me.
"Can't you get over that? I apologized to you and stood up for you." He said. I almost broke my pencil.
"Stood up for me!" I yelled. Everyone stared at us. "Stood up for me?" I whispered. "I didn't need you to. I stood up for myself." I said annoyed.
"Well,I did anyway. Do you know why I did? Cause I liked you..a lot. You made me happy and special that I had you." He said. I looked at him sadly. I felt like a big jerk. I didn't know he felt like that when I was around. I put my hand on his.
"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't know that you..."
"Just forget it." He said as he pulled his hand back and faced forward. I gasped a little and looked down at my work. I looked at Carson but he had never looked back at me. He didn't talk to me at lunch or sit next to me. He sat alone at lunch and when his friends wanted to sit with him, he told them to leave. He avoided me the whole day. When I came home from school, I texted him but he didn't answer. I tried to talk to him at the bus stop but he didn't answer me. Then, I realized, Carson wasn't the bad guy...I was.
