The elevator came to a halt and a posh voice above me rang out. "Level Two" I was slightly humoured at the posh voice but came to my senses and stepped out of the fancy lift. My eyes scanned around the floor, there where no signs pointing anywhere, no name tags nothing, so I used my intuition and headed towards the right.

As I passed the many offices that lined the walls I soon found out that none of them had names on, nor could I see a number. The mainly deserted offices were completely lacking a coding system and the labyrinth of corridors left me bewildered and confused. Feeling a panic attack coming along I tried to head back the way I came and hopefully find someone who didn't look too intimidating to help me find my way again.

As I rounded the corner, I hoped that I would see the elevators waiting. All I wanted was to hear that posh lady and to find someone that could help me. To my dismay, as I rounded the corner all I saw was another set of offices, without name plates or numbers. This adventure was frustrating and I could feel my breathing becoming laboured. I leant my back against the wall, checking my phone for the time. I had approximately 20 minutes to find this office and get these papers to this stranger or my job and Anne's could be at risk, and the last thing I wanted was to get fired, or get someone else fired.

"Hello." A strange voice broke me out of my darkening thoughts. My head shooting up to meet the pair of dark chocolate eyes that were searching my face. "Are you okay?" He asked a look of concern dancing on his face.

"Yeah, well, no not really." I replied looking down at the papers in my hand. "I need to get these to someone, but I'm lost and they need to be there in like 20 minutes and I don't want people to get fired and URR" I rambled.

"Would you like some help?" He asked, laughing slightly with a playful hint in his eyes.

I nodded in response, looking back down at the papers in hand. "I need to get these to a Nicholas Graham... Please"

"You're on the wrong floor for him, but I know where he is, I'm an intern for him right now! I'm Daniel, and you are?" He asked looking over at me as he walked me over to the lift.

I looked down at my feet, noticing the granny shoes I was wearing. No wonder I felt so short right now, I was wearing flats and he must've been at least 6 feet tall, easily towering over my 5'4" frame. "I'm Rose, and I'm wearing granny shoes."

He laughed at my response "I think they're adorbable. Like you," he mumbled the last part, so that I couldn't hear it, and although I did, I wasn't going to mention it.

"Of course, the day I meet a nice, attractive guy, I just have to wear my fucking kitty shoes. I mean how old am I? FIVE?" I asked, mainly shouting at myself. I was mentally cursing myself for my outfit choice today. Yes, it was casual, yes it was comfortable but not in the least was it meeting cute guy material.

He threw his head back, letting out a child like giggle. "You're cute." He finally said as we entered the lift with the posh voice in. He clicked a button that had the number 26 written on, now that I actually looked, that seemed to make much more sense. Not only am I stupid, but I'm also wearing freaking granny shoes.

"This is a really tall building." I commented, letting my words just flow out of my mouth with no thought.

"Yeah, you get used to it, after awhile." He replied, sneaking me a glance when he thought I wasn't looking. He was dressed pretty smart, in dress pants and a white button up. The look clashed with his black earrings that were placed through his ear lobes and his hair was styled in that scene/emo/typical youtuber style, which surprisingly suited him.

The lift came to a halt and the posh voice rang through the metal box as the doors slid open "Level Twenty - Six."

"After you!" Daniel said, placing his hand over the door, to stop them from shutting before we had exited.

"Thanks Daniel," I replied, blushing slightly at the sweet gesture.

"Just Dan! Daniel sounds like I'm getting shouted at by my mother," He laughed, obviously recalling the memories from his childhood when his mother used to shout at him to clean his room or to say sorry to someone or whatever he got into trouble for.

We walked down the corridors in a blissful silence. It wasn't awkward but it wasn't comfortable either, it was blissful and I was thankful for his company.

"This is his office, do you want me to wait, to lead you out?" He asked, squirming slightly, obviously feeling just as awkward as I did in this situation.

"I think I've got it, but thanks anyway. I'd probably just be a blubbling idiot on the second floor if you hadn't found me!" I laughed, seeing a look of disappointment cross his face.

"Would you like to go out with me? Like on a date?" He blurted out. His eyes burst open at the realization of what he just asked. He looked down at his shoes, already accepting the rejection he thought he was going to obtain.

"Sure!" I beamed, watching his head shoot up and a smile graze his face. The way his eyes lit up made my heart melt and I wanted nothing more than to wrap my arms around his waist and kiss his face, was I getting ahead of myself?

"I know this really nice place, that makes the best chips you've ever tasted, we could go for lunch tomorrow?" He asked hopefully, the gleam never leaving his eyes. I looked down at my shoes and smiled to myself.

"That sounds wonderful, can you give me the address?" I asked ready to get my phone out and write it down.

"Where do you work? I can meet you outside your work around noon and I'll walk down with you!" He replied. He was such a gentlemen. I could feel my cheeks warming up and I knew he was smiling at the blush that had crept up on me.

He handed me his phone and I wrote down my work address and my phone number, telling him to call me when he was outside.

"See you tomorrow Rose!" He waved as he turned on his heel and made his way back round to the lift.

"Bye." I breathed, feeling a warmth spread from my stomach all over my body. Knocking on the door in front of me, making sure Anne's work got in on time, I felt on top of the world. A cute guy asked me out, even while I was wearing my ugly granny shoes.
