Ok, some more British references. Jeremy Kyle is the presenter of The Jeremy Kyle Show, which is a 'tabloid talk show.' Think of Jerry Springer and you get what I mean. If you don't, check out a clip from the show above. This Morning is day time TV show here that mainly discusses topical items, beauty, fashion, showbiz, etc. One of the presenters is Phillip Schofield, whose picture is also above (with his co-presenter, Holly Willoughby). Because of his hair, he's known as a 'silver fox' in the UK and I know a lot of people who have a crush on him- personally, I don't. I think that's about it, references wise. Sarah xx

"Whatcha doing?"

"I'm sorry, was that even English?"

"Indeed it was."

"Are you sure because, to me, it sounded like several different noises put together and made to sound like a word."

"You know that words are generally made up of linked sounds? Phonics, ringing a bell?"

"I forget you have an English degree."

"From Oxford."

"And yet, even with your fancy English degree from Oxford, you still can't speak the language properly."

"If you're just going to insult the way I talk, hang up."

"..."

"Yeah, I thought so. So, what are you doing?"

"Oh, that's what you asked me! Well, I'm sat at my desk, drawing up some divorce papers."

"Sounds... exciting. Well, I'm painting my toenails while watching Jeremy Kyle."

"You watch that show?"

"Watching crazy people shouting at each other because 'My sister slept with my fiancé and doesn't know who the father of her baby is!' makes me seem normal in comparison."

"When you put it like that... I take it your day off is treating you well."

"Very well. I slept until eight- which, for me, is a lie in- and then I left my comfy cloud to look for breakfast, now I'm sitting in my living room, painting my toenails and watching trashy daytime TV. I haven't done this since my student days."

"That's rather sad."

"Sad, upsetting? Or sad, pathetic?"

"The latter."

"Gee, thanks, Daniel."

"It's true."

"I'm enjoying it, either way."

"When are you going to see Lucas?"

"After lunch. I'm meeting Emma first and then I'll stop in at City Hospital to see him. I need to get him some magazines while I'm out."

"What kind of magazines?"

"Gaming ones."

"Your brother is a gamer?"

"An epic gamer. He lives for that stuff. It's half the reason he's studying software engineering at uni."

"He's in uni?"

"Yes."

"Oh, I thought, because of the CF, he was... you know."

"No, Daniel, I don't know."

"He wasn't- isn't- healthy enough to go to university."

"He's sick, not dead. He's perfectly able to go to university. He attends Imperial College London, actually."
