"Choose your partners very wisely." Ms. Mavis Vermilion explained. As she was explaining further into her directions,

everyone quickly looked at their friends, making eye contact with each other, signifying they were going to be partners.

"Lucy, be my partner." Natsu turned quickly to her, since he sat next to her. Lucy looked at him. "Of course." She said smiling.

They were best friends, and was always partnering together for everything.

Natsu and Lucy were currently in the final hour of the day; Chemistry.

The whole class was waiting for an experiment day, which was currently today. "Well, now that I explained the safety hazards and procedures, Please follow them

and proceed to the lab area, pick up the protection goggles/glasses from the bucket as you walk in." Everyone stood up and walked to their lab areas, while talking to their partners.

"I bet Natsu will burn the whole building." Gray chuckled as he glanced over to him. "Well, that makes the two of us." Natsu said. "You're going to jinx him." Juvia said shaking her head. She was Gray's partner.

"Even if Natsu does burn down the building, It will at least make today interesting." Gajeel commented. "No it wouldn't." Levy stated, disagreeing.

"As I explained from last class, please be free to take any chemical, drinking beverages or anything to mix. And as of a reminder, This is 75% of your grade! Well then, Please start."

Everyone started, not knowing what they were doing.

It's at least half past their class time till things started getting out of control.

"Natsu! You're not suppose to mix coca cola and bleach." Lucy said taking the coca cola from his hands.

It was already to late, he was stirring it. Precisely, to be exact, the assignment was to specifically mix anything in this room, including cleaning

supplies and make a new chemical and name it. They could also choose what it specializes in, as in cleaning, laundry, etc.

Natsu was mixing bleach more than anything.

"Ugh! This is so boring! Why don't we just make something happen!?" Natsu said bored

while stirring the mixture of bleach and coca cola that has turned clear, but the noticeable hint of cola substance in there.

Lucy rolled her eyes. She carefully picked up one piece of dry ice, that laid still on her latex gloves. She quickly

put it in her creation she was creating. "Natsu, I'm almost done with--"

She turned her gaze at him as he poured the whole jug of bleach and poured another gallon of ammonia, cleaning supply in a bucket. Lucy gasped. He put

more cleaning supplies into the bucket, including a handful of dry ice. "Natsu! Stop!" Said Lucy. Natsu was laughing while he was stirring it. "This will make today interesting." He said.

"What the hell is that smell!?" Erza said scanning the room.

"It makes my eyes burn." Jellal said. Even though he still had his protective glasses on, the effects were still strong.

Everyone's eyes slowly fell on Natsu and Lucy, seeing their experiment was responsible.

Mavis was not in the room. She went to principal Zerefs office, to discuss some "Business."

Lucy started coughing very furiously. Even if the protective glasses where on her eyes, her

eyes started to water up, and sting. Her lungs felt like it was burning. Everyone was having

the same reaction and evacuated the classroom. Lucy tried to evacuate too but, everyone kept pushing her, trying to get out. They pushed and bumped her so much she fell into some

Isopropyl alcohol that spilled and was inconveniently by a burner. It caught on fire. Natsu started to cough, too.

Lucy was at least seven feet away from the small fire.

She took off her protective glasses. Lucy was hyperventilating. "N-Natsu...." She said quietly. It was very hard for her to breathe. Natsu continuously coughed . It didn't take him long to notice barley anyone was in the classroom.

The small fire some how expanded to were the trail of isopropyl alcohol, that was on the floor.

Thick black smoke emerged from the burner mostly burning everything. His eyes followed the trail of fire, and saw her on the floor laying there.

"Lucy!" His voice was faint.

"Lucy! I'm sorry! I'm coming!" He said trying to rush over to her. His voice begins to slow down more and more as if his voice hit slow motion. "It's my fault! It's...my...fault....!" Was the last thing she heard. Before she went unconscious.
