Expect the Unexpected

Chapter 11

Ally's POV

I paced in front of the TV in the living room, waiting for Mani to finish changing. I had no idea what we were supposed to do on our first date. Don't they have a rule book for this kind of stuff?

Mani came out of the bathroom and happily skipped over to sit on the couch. She patted the spot next to her, telling me to sit down as well, and I nervously complied. "So, what do you wanna do?"

I smile at her, remembering an episode on Spongebob that Mila's little sister, Sophia, made me watch a few months ago. "I don't know what do you wanna do?"

"I don't know what do YOU wanna do?"

"I don't know what-" I hadn't realized that we had been leaning forward until our lips connected.

Normani's POV

Ally reached up to slowly caress my cheek and I placed my hand on the back of her neck, pulling her closer. There was something about the way she kissed me.... She was always so gentle and soft. Her kisses were never rushed or hurried, they were always passionate and full of love.

When I felt her tounge graze my bottom lip, I gasped and let out a small whimper when she pulled away. She cocked her head and gave me a sweet smile. She still had her hand on my cheek, but I let my hand fall from her neck and slide down her arm until she caught it in her hand. 

"You guys, the food is here!" Camila called from outside of the bus. "Dinah made up some stupid rule that we can't start eating without you, so you better hurry!!!"

I sighed. "That wasn't much of a date..."

Ally shrugged. "I still liked it!"

I lowered my head, embarrassed that didn't think of any thing else for us to do.

"ManiBear?" I look her in her golden eyes and she leaned forward to place a light peck on my nose. "Let's go get some food."

She lifted me off of the couch by my hand and we walked slowly back to the indoor pool. I kept stealing glances at Ally while we ate and think about how perfect she really was. What did I do to deserve her?

 A Few Hours Later

Normani's POV

My arms were wrapped around Ally in my bunk and as I was starting to fall asleep, a thought popped into my head. "Ally?"

"Mmm?"

"Promise me that we'll stay together even when people start to call us bi and stuff?"

She lifted her head up from its spot on the base of my neck and opened her eyes. "Why would we run away from the truth?
