Not your Average Nerd

Chapter 5

Jake's P.O.V

"Um..Lovely night tonight, huh?" Nikki asked.

I was still staring at her. I mean who knew that the schools Nerdy Nikki was an undefeated, badass street fighter...definitely not me. But, I mean...how? She's fat in school and she has curves in all the right places now, and she's looks smoking hot...but, I mean j don't really know if she's fat in school because she wears baggy clothes. She always has glasses on in school...they could be fake, so that she could keep up the exterior as a nerd and hide her beautiful eyes...wait...did I just say beautiful? I guess I did...but that doesn't mean anything. Then, in school she has braces...they could be fake, but how does someone even get fake braces?

"But, your a nerd." I say, recovering a little from my shock.

"So..." She says like its nothing.

"But your just and innocent little nerd and you let people bully you."

"Who says I'm innocent?" She says with a smirk and winks at me.

"But...why do you dress the way you do at school?" Why would she let people bully her? And me? Why does she let me and other people bully her?

"I have a lot of people that are out to get me." She says " If I didn't have a disguise, I'd be putting my self in danger, my family, and if anyone found it what school I went to, which wouldn't be hard, the school would be in danger. So, that's why I dress like a nerd at school and allow others to hit me and bully me."

"Oh" is all I say. I can't even form any words, just Oh. I mean, seriously Jake, Oh. But it does make sense, why she disguises her self, so she won't put anyone in danger.

We just stare at each other for a minute before I see a flicker of realization in her eyes.

"Do you wanna stay over, since it's like," she checks the time on her phone "1:30?" she asks

"Sure" I shrug.

"Well follow me" is all she says and starts walking towards a huge house.

"Are gonna come in or ogle all night" she chuckled slightly.

I stop staring and follow her into the house no mansion. She leads me to a bedroom, which I assume is a guest bedroom and tells me that her room is two doors away if I need anything.

When she leaves, all I could think about is 'Nerdy' Nikki is not 'Nerdy' Nikki after all. She's an illegal underground, undefeated at that, street fighter. Who would have guessed? Definitely not me.

And with that on my mind...I drift of to sleep thinking about Nikki.
