Chapter 1

Nikki's P.O.V

Beep!!! Beep!!! Beep!!!

"Ugh..! Turn it off!!!"

"Nikki!!!" My mom calls "Your going to be late for school!!! Get up!!"

"Five more minutes!" I groaned

"You don't have five minutes!!"

"Fine" I muttered.

Hi. I'm Nikki Walker and I'm 17 years old and the schools nerd. But what people don't know is that I'm the most feared, undefeated street fighter shadow. I have brown hair and green eyes. Now, you might be asking yourself "Why do you dress like a nerd if our not one?" Well to answer that question is that I want a normal life and also because there are a lot of gangs who want to recruit me and that will put my life in danger.

I finally got up from my bed and looked at the time, 7:45. I have 15 minutes to get ready and then another 10 minutes to go to school. I took a shower, put on my nerd clothes, my big fake nerd glasses, and my fake braces. I went downstairs to find my 4 year old brother, Thomas already eating breakfast.

"Hey Tommy,"I said "Good Morning!"

" Good Mowning Nikkwi!" He said.  I laughed because of how cute he sounded.

"Here's your breakfast" my mom said while placing a plate of pancakes in front of me.

"Thanks mom" I said then took a bit "Mmm, they are soo gooood..."

She chucked " I'm glad you think so"

After I finished my breakfast, I got mine and Thomas' book bags and got in my ratty old car. I have way nicer ones, but I have to keep up my nerd vibe. When I dropped Thomas off at pre-school I saw a familiar face and when they looked my way, he turned out to be Jake, the schools bad boy. He is also one of the many people who bully me. As soon as I saw him, I panicked and looked away, I think he might have recognized me because I could sense him coming this way. I tried to avoid him, but Thomas didn't want to go to school and kept clinging to me.

"Thomas, let go." I tried taking him off but he wouldn't budge.

"No, I dont want to go to school. I wan to stay with you Nikkwi" his cut voice makes me sad to make him do this, but I have to.

"You have to go Thomas" The. I saw that Jake was getting closer. The. He reached us, but he didn't use my nickname "Nerdy Nikki".

"Hey" he said "It's Nikki right?"

"Yup" I said popping the 'p' " Hi Jake"

"Hewo" said the little boy next to him.

"Hi, what's your name?" I asked him.

"My names Kywl" he said in a cute voice like Thomas'.

"It's nice to meet you Kyle. This is Thomas" I said gesturing to Thomas who was still clinging to me"

"Hewo Jake. Hewo Kyle" Thomas said.

"Hewso, would you like to be my fwiend?" Kyle asked Thomas.

"Sure" Thomas said before they both ran off together.

"Bye!!" Jake and I yelled in unison.
