I couldn't help but look at the man in awe. Questions started to cross my mind like railroads and tracks. Why would he be here in the middle of the battlefield? Shouldn't he have guards protecting him? Did we kill those guards? How come he's even here right at this time?

I back away and walked closer to aNaitu and whispered something in her ear. "Go run, call the samurai," I whispered. aNaitu nodded and faked that she ran away, dropping her gun on purpose. "Awe the little girl ran away. That's too bad I was about to have a little fun," the leader said and grinned.

I got into my stance and noticed that the blade of my sword was already blood-stained. I couldn't help but notice that the weapons the leader had two guns similar to aNaitu's. "That little brat stole some of our supplies," he muttered.

My eyes widened as I quickly picked up the gun on the ground. I was taught how to use a gun once. I only knew a little about it. I could tell how to use it by the way aNaitu was shooting. It was a but more complicated than just slashing with a sword.

I cocked the gun and put both of my hands aiming the leader. He just laughed. "Your so inexperienced with a gun I doubt that you'll even be able to shoot me," he said. I grunted as I pulled the trigger and a bullet came flying. It was a clear shot to the arm. But he somehow deflected it.

My eyes widened as I saw the bullet being deflected by some sort of steel blade. I couldn't help but notice that it would come shooting back at me like a boomerang. I quickly dodged the bullet.

Sighing in relief, I noticed that there was no one standing behind me at the moment and no one was shot. No one I knew, at least. "You think that one measly bullet could defeat me and an army when you can't even shoot me?" He asked with an evil grin.

I soon noticed that there was a whole army hiding behind their leader in the shadows and alleys of the whole place. I grit my teeth as sweat beaded on my face and my hand trembled. "It's all over," I thought in my mind. But I didn't shed a single tear.

All of a sudden I heard the war cry of a thousand men and women and gongs banging loudly. There were men with their hair tied back in a take copter and even women fighting in this war. A thousand was enough to kill this small army here.

I found aNaitu standing in the front of the rally of the war shooting bullets into the air, cheering us on as she started to shoot. I grinned as the leader had a shocked look on his face. He didn't expect all of this to be happening right at this moment.

I slashed his throat once he wasn't paying attention. I stood up on his body laying in a pool of blood. I lifted up my sword in victory and let out a war cry. Tears ended up to come out of my eyes and fell like rain. Samurai lifted up their swords and yelled.

I continued to join on in the fight. No matter what, I'll be fighting for our victory. No matter what, I'll keep on fighting. Because I'm fighting for my country, for my friends, not just for my own sake. I will never fight for my own sake.

Always for someone else's.

"1 kill," I thought as blood spilled on my kimono. "2 kills," I thought as I beheaded someone in the throat. "3 kills," I thought as my blade was stained in blood. "4 kills," I thought as blood splattered on my face. I grinned.

Victory... Victory is mine...

It wasn't long before I finished everything off with the total of 50 kills. My eyes widened at the bloody scene of war. Puddles of blood everywhere underneath the bodies of all our enemies. I couldn't help but actually, laugh for a bit. I'm not insane.

Something caught my eyes. It wasn't one of my enemies. A pink mop of hair drenched in blood due to a wound in her head. By the color of her kimono I could tell she was on our side. Her pink coral hair lying on the ground, her face pale.

A detail I noticed was that she was badly injured. Her head injuries were severe. I noticed that her sapphire blue eyes were wide open and looked almost like glass being dulled. She was an adult. And her pink hair, I had to know. I knelt by her body in sadness.

I laid down my sword and refused to she's a single tear. But her death. My mother's own death. I didn't see what happened to her. I just stared at her body in shock of what happened. "We...we won, mom....we won the war..," I told her, smiling.

My head hurt from me refusing to cry. A girl sat next to me and patted my back. She was a small girl. I couldn't help but look at Lin Kagamine giving me an apologetic look on her face. "Just cry, Akio. There's nothing wrong with showing emotions," Lin said.

I shook my head as I looked at my mom's unconscious body on the ground. "M-Mom... Why did you abandon me again?" I asked and held her hand and shut my eyes, refusing to still cry, even if Lin to me it was okay to cry. I couldn't do that especially on a battlefield.

Medics rushed over to her and put mom on a stretcher as I just sat there, staring at the puddle of blood from where my mom was laying at. A strand of her pink hair floated on it. "I'm sorry, mom..," I said as a tear drop fell into the puddle.
