You were at your boyfriend's house for the evening for one of your date nights. You turned the lights off and snuggled up to him on his sofa and he pressed play on the movie and fed you little pop corn kisses. His phone kept buzzing and lighting up over and over, he just glared at it and then turned it off.
"Who was that?" you ask worriedly, was he being bullied was it his mom?
"Uh no one let's just watch the movie" he sneakily turned his phone back on but took it off vibrate and put it on silent.
Not a second later his house phone rang. He tried to ignore it for a little but he sprung up from the sofa and said "I'll be right back" taking his mobile with him looking a little frustrated.
You weren't trying to play the role of the invasive girlfriend but something was going on and he wasn't going to tell you. You turn down the volume of the TV to see if you could hear him on the phone. Nothing. Next you creep up to the door of his bedroom.
The most you can hear is
"I know but this needs to stop"
"I can't do it anymore, you know I love her"
"This isn't fair, you need to stop"
He could be talking about anyone or to anyone. You decide to give him his space and sit back to the movie. He will tell you when he is ready
"Are you ok?" you ask as he walks back to you.
"Yeah, no more distractions just us for the rest of the night" he turns his phone off, tosses it to the other side of the sofa and kisses you on the fore head
You get comfy with him again and watch the rest of the movie.
The next day he didn't really talk to you that much. If anything he tried to avoid you. Something was definitely wrong.
You decide to surprise him after school with a table to his favourite restaurant for dinner. You walk up to his front door and let yourself in. you set down your bag and jacket on his table. There was a lot of shouting coming from up stairs so you run to his room but the shouting is silenced when you hit a creak in the stairs.
You knock on his bedroom door and slowly turn the door handle. You see him standing there lip locked with another girl you have never met before. She was all over him and he didn't do much to stop it until he saw you standing at his door.
Your chest actually hurt. You were speechless and he looked like he had just killed someone. Why would he do this to you? He was the last person you would expect to cheat.
Your vision was blurred as tears began to fill up your eyes.
Before you broke down in the middle of his bedroom floor you force yourself to walk back out of his room and grab your jacket and bag from downstairs as he chases after you.
"Baby please don't leave, I can explain, I promise ill make it up to you"
"No (c/n) just save it, you were the only person I thought wouldn't do that and to make it even worse I had to find out for myself I don't want any of your stories because you can't say that you didn't kiss her " you sob
You walk home alone in the rain and get changed into your comfiest pyjamas and finish a whole box of your favourite chocolates by yourself.
You hear some loud knocking on your front door. You scrape your hair up to a pony tail and put a jumper over your pj top.
You open the door to see (c/n) drenched in rain from head to toe in rain his hair was clinging to his forehead. You had to admit he looked so hot coming to explain himself but you didn't exactly want to listen to his reasons.
You attempt to shut the door but he steps forward and kisses you before you reject him again.
"Please let me come in, I need to make this right, I messed up I know, but you at least deserve to know why" he pleads
You think for a second considering your options but he was right you deserved to know why.
You fetch him a clean towel and some of his clean clothes he always leaves at yours.
You watch him peel off his wet shirt and dry his chest on while you sit on your bed waiting for him. He flings on his dry shirt and sits beside you
"Please just listen to me I want to make this right, I have known her for quite a while now we were getting to know each other at school in the classes I have with her, she didn't know I was dating you. But when she did find out she became overly flirty and clingy towards me. I didn't like it and she told me she would get me to cheat on you with her if I didn't ask her out. I had, had enough last night so I told her it had to stop. She took it surprisingly well, too well because that's when earlier she came to my house and we started arguing and when she heard you outside that's when she kissed me. It was so unexpected. You came in just after she kissed me it was bad timing please believe me" he began to cry himself
You actually did believe him his story seemed quite valid.
You climbed into his lap and played with his still drying hair.
"I love you so much I would never hurt you" he lets a tear escape his eye
You wipe it with your jumper sleeve and kiss him passionately to let him know you forgive him and he will never lose you just as long as he is loyal.
