You open up your locker at the end of the day to put all of your books back in. A heart shaped sticky note catches your eye as it falls out the bottom of your locker. It reads;
To (y/n)
Be at mine for 7:00 pm tonight
Dress up; I have a surprise!

This was so weird your boyfriend never does things like this. You rush home, have a shower, pull on your favourite party dress, do your makeup, do your hair and slip on some converse just to tone it down a bit.
You arrive at your boyfriend's house at 7:00pm just like the note says. There are tea lights lighting up his drive way all the way up to his front door. A smile appears on your face and you slowly walk to the front door. You were just about to knock but the door was slightly cracked open. You carefully open the door and to see a path of rose petals leading to his garden, where he was standing in a tuxedo behind a candle lit table set out for dinner.
An even bigger smile appears on your face this time. He walks towards you and pulls you into a big hug and as he pulls away he pulls you in again for a kiss.
"(c/n) what is all this?" you ask
"Well we haven't really had a proper date yet and I thought candle lit dinner under the stars would be perfect." He replies
You don't say anything but just smile instead. He takes your hand and leads you to the table; he pulls out a chair for you as you sit down.
"You hungry?" he asks
"Lucky for you I am" you both giggle
He runs off to get something from the kitchen and he comes back with two plates of your favourite meal. He places a plate in front of you and sits opposite you with a plate for himself.
After you had both finished eating he disappears in the house for a while but he tells you to keep your eyes closed. You feel him put something warm and snugly around you. It was his jacket, it smelled of him. You bury your nose in the scent. Still with your eyes closed he leads you out onto his lawn then onto a blanket. You sit down with his strong arms around you then he finally says
"Ok open your eyes".
You were both sitting on a blanket in the middle of his lawn. He flicks a switch and all of the lawn around you is lit up with tiny little fairy lights and flickering candles.
You look up at him and smile. He gives a big smile back and wraps you up in his jacket and then his arms.
