Pressing my books on my chest I wander around campus, approaching the cafeteria. The landscape is painted in a mixture of soft and dark green as the whole campus is being swallowed by grass, trees and a myriad of colourful flowers of all kinds. Laughter, chattering and footsteps enter my hearing sensors as the university is filled with students either sitting on the velvety grass, on benches, or just walking around.

It's been two months and i'm still as excited as the first days. Yes; I enjoy learning. Wouldn't be a large ass shame if we complain about education? There are kids, adults, elders that never had the chance to be educated. If you ask me: we should be thankful that we are in a place where education is a right.

Managing businesses and marketing is such an interesting course. Thank God, it's quite easy and I don't have classes every single day because it gets tiring at some point. Talking about tiring and annoying things; my eyes catch sight of the most annoying human being running towards me. I sigh rolling my eyes as I try to escape fast enough but he catches up to me with the stupidest smile on his face.

In front of me stands Jace; with his 6'2 feet glory (approximately 188 cm- ur welcome) like a giant compared to my 5'3 own glory (approximately 160 cm- ur welcome once again lol). Raising my head upwards a little so I can stare at his greenish blue eyes, thanking God for his height as he covers the sun, I smile involuntarily, but act like it was forced.

"Hey." He speaks and I shiver, something I notice I started doing every-time I see him; maybe it's just the nerves.

"What's up?" I say losing my patience as my stomach makes a growling sound since I'm starving and Jace decided to waste my time.

"The sky." He laughs at his own joke and I shake my head looking down at my feet. Someone tell him, he isn't funny at all.

"You're not funny." Oops, I beat you to it. "tell me what do you want because I will starve to death if I stay here another five minutes." I sigh.

"Mom texted me to remind you about the dinner tonight, and to tell you to tell your mom to make that glorious lemon tart she always makes because our fat asses love that dessert." He pauses. "She didn't say the 'fat asses' thing, I added that cause I thought it was funny." I look at his proud smile and a faint laugh escapes my lips.

"How many times do I have to tell you? You are not fucking funny, Jace! Stop trying so much. You make me cringe."

Confession: he's actually pretty damn funny but when he tries too much it ends up to be cringe as hell. He's pretty good looking too but don't tell him that; his ego is going to grow even more.

Jace and I have been... acquaintances, since I can remember; his mother is my mother's childhood best friend. Our families do everything together; from trips to vacations to moving out to travelling to shopping; everything. Jace's family has been our rock when Emily was lost and even if Jace gets on my nerves pretty much all the time, I thank God every day that he exists; he has been there for me when nobody was.

"Yes sir!" He places his hand up on his forehead, soldier style and I let out a laugh followed by the loudest growl my stomach could make. Jace's eyes get huge as he squeezes his lips together fighting a laugh from escaping. "I think you are hungry."

"You think?"
