I bit my lip, trying to come up with an excuse. I said the first one that came to mind, "I fell from a tree, haven't really had the chance to get it looked at."
The Kecleon nodded, then pointed towards the buildings at the edge of town. "You could get it looked at the inn over there; the owners, the Linoone family, they're pretty good with that medicinal stuff." I smiled. She, unknowingly, had given me the answer to my next questions.
"Okay, but can I buy some stuff now?" I asked, not wanting to be rude, but I really wanted some sleep. "I forgot to bring supplies with me." The kecleon jumped, and nodded hastily.
"Sure, what do you need?"
I frowned, examining the goods displayed on the shelves, and looking at my Poké. After a moment or two, I listed off what I would need. Apples, Oran berries, a white gummi, max elixirs, pecha berries, a blanket(what if it got cold when I was exploring?): basically everything a Pokémon on a mission would need. And also another bow, seeing as mine were almost done for After giving me my things, the Kecleon's eyes lit up when she saw how much cash I gave her.
She greedily put it in a pouch around her neck. "Is that all?" She asked, a satisfied smile on her face.
I frowned, about to nod, when something in the corner of her shop caught my eye. It was surrounded by other little trinkets, such as bows and other clothing, but it was different. A necklace hung from a hook in the shelf, with a silver chain. Dangling from the chain was a gold locket, with red gems in it.
"What is that?" I asked, pointing to the jewelry. The Kecleon looked over at it, then gave a small gasp.
"Hey, you!" She barked at her employee, making him jump in fright. "Bring that locket over here!"
With a shaky nod, with smeargle shuffled over to it, bringing the necklace to the counter, where he laid it down. The Kecleon looked at me with a smile, her hand on the chain.
"A traveler brought this here, a few days ago. He said he needed to sell it, and it costed me so much money." The Keclean glared into the air for a moment before continuing. "I've been trying to sell it, but there's been to takers."
"I see." I replied, examining it again. It looked pretty expensive, and I knew it would cost a lot. I could've bought it, since most of the money I had was still with me, but it would be a waste. Yet, I felt like I should anyways.
"Can I take a closer look?" I found myself asking. The necklace was intriguing. why would anyone want to sell such a piece? For money? And if so, where did they even get such a necklace? The Kecleon nodded, looking somewhat suspicious, but she pushed the necklace over to me anyways. I gave her a grateful look, looking more closely.
I put one paw on the ruby-encrusted locket, and froze. A pounding heading quickly formed, and I felt slightly dizzy. I sat down, trying not to fall over. Was it another vision? I wondered, and my answer was yes once a bright light expanded over my eyes. When it faded, I saw a Pokémon. He was sitting in a cave, looking at a map and frowning. His yellow eyes narrowed as he dug around in his bag for something. A thrill of shock ran through me as I saw him pull out a greenish-blue gear, a slight low around it. A time gear! This was the thief! The Pokémon looked at the map for a second longer before folding it. He had a determined look on his face as he said, "Now I go to Fogbound Lake..."
There was another burst of light, and I was back at the Kecleon mart.
"So, do you want it?" The Kecleon asked, leaning expectantly on the counter.
Still shocked at the vision, I considered actually taking it. This had been owned, or at least had some relation to the Time Gear thief. And it also triggered a vision that may help me find him.
