Once upon a time, there was...
"There has been enough death on this ship today, my friend," he says tenderly. "And killing each other is off is just what Loki wants."

"Bu-ut he was right there. I-I could have done it. I could have done i-it and then nothing would hu-urt anymore."
"I know what happened to you, little one. But revenge solves nothing. It only makes it hurt all the worse."
"H-how can anything hurt more than this?"
"Listen to me," he says gently and places a hand at my cheek. "I know it hurts. War brings scars to us all. But that doesn't mean that it would make anything better by causing deaths and pain on others. There will a time to grieve. But right now we need your help. Or a lot of mortals are going to die."
I look up at him with big eyes like a child and nod, wiping the tears from my face. "What do I have to do?" I ask with a voice that is still cracked a little.
"Stark says that you can help with 'Engine One'. Can you do this?"
"I can try..."
He nods and uses his strong hand to take my own that still trembles, and helps me back to my feet.
I wipe away the last of my tears and clear my throat... knowing this isn't over yet.
He puts a strong hand on my shoulder. "Come, we must hurry."
I nod and we make our way quickly to the right side of the ship towards Engine One. People move around us frantically to try and get it working again, running with medical kits to save the lives of all the injured agents on board, and try their best to keep everything running within the mass panic.
The ship still tilts quite a bit as Thor and I run through the halls.
The flashing lights shine on bodies throughout the ship that we have to step over, making my stomach drop a little at the sight of so much blood and death.
I open the door to the service area beside the engine out into the open wind that jets against my face and hair. This is where the engine is failing. There's nothing broken... but it's just not turning.
