My head hit the steering wheel hard, but...not hard enough to kill me,

As I heard the car approaching I continued to lay on the steering wheel motionless hoping they would leave and assume I was dead,

A sinister chuckle filled my ears before I heard the car drive off,

|Sanchez POV|

"There's a man here claiming that he has a meeting at with you but he's not on the list," my assistant informed me.

I grunted and loosened my tie, "Pat him down and send him in."

"Yes sir," she scurried out of the room.

A meeting was the last thing on my mind. My nerves were all over the place just thinking about seeing my little girl again, our last encounter didn't go as planned and I was determined to get on her good side.

She was gorgeous just like her mother and of course she had inherited her mother's temper and maybe mine as well,

Two knocks caused me to direct my attention towards my office door. A quiet chuckle escaped my mouth as I stared at my newest prospect,

"What are you doing here, I have things scheduled for today." I said as he sat in the chair across from me,

He wore a black hat and his face looked more rugged than the last time we had spoken.

Two months ago he'd shown up at an event I was hosting eager to be taken under my wing and work for me, I was shocked, I'd never met someone who wanted to become part of my business, it was basically like belonging to the mob,

"Well I wanted to talk with you, I kept my promise, and I was hoping that you would as well." He said with hopeful eyes.

My lips curled up into a smile at the young man, he knew the dangers of the business from his previous affiliations but my business was a force to be reckoned with, It forced me to leave the love of my life and my princess..

"Do I strike you as unintelligent?" I asked lacing my fingers together on my desk.

A look of fear flashed on his face, that was his first problem. He had every reason to be intimidated, all of my men were, but they never showed it so openly. He was weak.
