Ariel's pov

it was a damp and cold night.

I ought to hav put on a sweater before venturing for a walk.

I'm suprised Dad allowed me out in d 1st place.

I shivered and put my arms around my stomach.

Dad..

He was really overprotective,i thought with a smile.

Maybe because i'm all he has left.

He hardly talks about Mum.she died when i was only 4yrs.

Dad took me and left from one house to another,moving from state to state.

Changing friends and lifestyle. I never worried about the moves. I only get upset because when moving,i lose alot of Mum's stuff (not that i had much of it anyway).

All i had now was a picture of her in the locket(which was also hers) i always had around my neck.

We looked so much alike,but she was much more beautiful,like a fairy princess...

Long blond curly hair reaching below my waist, almost translucent pale skin,and the most amazing blue eyes.

It was so unique,it scares me some times.

It was different shades of blue al at once.from baby blue to navy blue.

My friends says it turns very dark blue when am angry,which was not so often.

What have i got to be angry for.

I had the most loving father and my life was perfect as it was.

But i still miss my Mum.

Instinctively,my hand went to my locket.i always did that when i thought of Mum or when i was nervous.

I looked at my wrist to check the time.

Oh my gosh!

Dad's gonna kill me.

He only agreed to the walk because i'v been indoors all weekend.we moved to our new home just this friday.

And i practically begged him to allow me some fresh air before i started my new school tommorrow.

He was going to be sooo pissed!

I shivered again.but for a new reason.

I had a feeling someone was watching me.

I turned back,but it was dark and i couldnt see a thing.

I started walking faster,but the feeling just increased.

My hand went to my throat for the second time this evening.

I almost broke into a run...

The feeling grew.

It was like someone was coming behind me,but in a really freaky way!

I stopped...

The feeling stopped...

I continued..

The feeling returned...

I was really scared now...

I broke into a run.

I could see our new house was close now...

I ran as fast as i could.

Then i perceived the ugliest smell of my life.

Just behind my neck.

And then i heard a low freaky sound...

Was that a growl?!

Aaaaaaaarrrgghhh!
