Roy's POV

"Roylady when am I going to be able to stay with you again? I miss watching old movies and laughing with you." Lola's somewhat sad tone broke my heart. It was the middle of the week and Shane and I took a break from traveling to do some wedding planning and get our house in order. Nothing had truly finished, because everyday both of us are in different city or even countries. So naturally you don't see people for months at a time, and even though this weekend was supposed to be about planning a little fun never killed anyone.

"Are you busy this weekend?" I asked already knowing the answer. A excited tone took over Lola's voice as she screamed to here mom asking if she could stay.

"Lola give me the phone." Her mom Kerri demanded in a joking tone causing the both of us to laugh.

"Roy I thought you and Shane took this week off to actually get things done. I don't want Lola getting in the way." Kerri sounded worried.

"Everything will be fine. She can help." I tried coaxing her into letting Lola visit.

"Is Shane around?" She asked suspiciously. That was the minor detail that hadn't been thought about at the moment. Would Shane be okay with having Lola around will we were hustling and bustling everywhere.

"Um.... he is upstairs." I tried moving the subject along.

"Can I talk to him?"

"Why do you have to be such a mom?" I joked after calling for Shane.

"What?" Shane yelled from downstairs.

"Kerri wants to talk to you." I replied failing to mention anything that they would be talking about.

"One minute... Dede come on stop chewing on the comforter." Shane complained calling for the dogs as he walked down the stairs. I hand him the phone and put my arm around him as he sat down.

"What's up Kerri?" He asked oblivious to the situation at hand.

"Just wondering if you were aware of the invitation Roy gave to Lola to come and stay with you guys this weekend?" Shane turns his head to me giving me a glare that is unreadable, but I assumed he was upset with me.

"I was not aware until this very moment. Roy were planning on telling me this information before Lola was going to be here or..." Shane asked with a mixture of sarcasm and disappointment.

"Of course." I lied putting the phone on speaker.

"I mean I don't have a problem with Lola visiting, but you know having some type of notice would be nice." Shane anger left almost instantly which was normal. He handles his anger very well.

"So that means I can come." We heard Lola asked shyly through the phone.

"Lola." Her mom's stern tone spoke a thousand words.

"Of course you can come." Shane answered sweetly making my heart melt.

"Shane are you sure. I don't want her in the way. You guys have all the wedding planning and everything..." Kerri rambled with a cautious tone.

"Don't worry everything with be fine. And we always need the Lola's opinion, as we all know she has amazing taste. Right, Lola?" Shane tone when he talked to Lola always made me swoon. The way he is with kids in general is so amazing.

"Obviously." Lola replied with a giggle.

"So I guess you're going to Roy and Shane's this weekend." Kerri had an excited tone in her voice to match Lola's.

"Yeah!" She screamed. I couldn't help but laugh.

"So I will drive her over there around 5 on Friday. Is that okay?" Kerri asked Shane setting up somewhat of a plan.

"Sounds great see you then." Shane replied.

"Okay bye."

"Bye." We said in unison as she hung up.

"Sorry for not running things past you." I apologized feeling slightly guilty.

"Everything is worked out. Don't worry about. All you had to do was tell me. You know I'm always more than happy to have Lola stay." Shane stood up with a smile.

"I know. I don't know why I didn't mention. I guess it just slipped my mind." I stood in a state of confusion.

"No worries. I'm just excited Lola is coming." Shane smile grew twice the size it already was.

"How did I get so lucky?" I asked myself under my breath.

"What?"

"I just asked how I got so lucky." I pulled him close.

"Stop, you're making me blush." Shane joking swatted me away and giggling. I pressed my lips to his neck and slowly made my way to his mouth smiling in between kisses realizing how much my dreams were become reality. I swept my tongue against his lips requesting to make the kiss deeper. Our tongues suddenly became intertwined and sparks lite up my heart. Never in my life have experience a love like I do with Shane and everyday the realization of this becomes more and more evident.

A rushed sound of scattering paws echoed the house as the doorbell rang. Shane and I headed the door to greet Lola and her mother. Shane grabbed both the dogs as I opened the door.

"Roy!" Lola rushed through the door and attacked me with a bear hug. Shane set the dogs down to meet Lola and gave Kerri a hug.

"Lola. I'm so excited you are here." I stated while Shane talked with Kerri.

"Okay sounds good." Kerri replied to Shane and walked towards the door, stopping to say goodbye to me and Lola.

"He's it." Kerri whispered to me as she pulled out of our hug. I've know Kerri since we were in high school and have stayed close to her my whole life. I have had several serious relations in the past, and she has promised to always give her opinion. She told me when we were twenty five and I had just broken up with my first serious boyfriend that she knew he wasn't the one. And every boy since then she has said 'It wasn't him.' and 'Trust me. I will know when its him.'. I had pretty much forgotten about the whole Kerri's sense of the 'one', and I had pretty much given up on finding the perfect one until Shane came along. I knew from the start it was him, because the set of emotions was something I had never felt before. I was worried that Kerri had found a flaw or her senses told different than my heart. Looking at it now this whole thing was stupid, but traditions stick. So knowing that Kerri was 100% knowing of what I had felt with whole being put me into a state of complete elation. After she completely pulled away and said her goodbyes to Lola, I felt my cheeks burn with happiness.

"Roy are you okay?" Lola broke my train of thoughts with her worrying tone.

"What? Yeah I'm fine. Why?" I already knew the answer but with Lola you never know.

"You're turning as red as an apple." Shane giggled at her comment which gave Lola a seeming sense of accomplishment.

"I'm just hot. Anyways what do you want to do?" I asked moving past the topic of my blushing.

"Movies!" Lola ran to the cabinet with all our favorite classics.

"You're looking a little tomato-ish there." Shane pinched my ass as he made his way to Lola. I pulled him by the arm behind a wall so Lola couldn't see us. I kissed him with all my passion and force. I broke the kiss when Shane forced his tongue into my mouth. I walked towards the living room, leaving him breathless and speechless. This was going to be an interesting weekend to say the least.
