Lie Ren x Reader

There seriously isn't enough Ren x Readers.
And Ren doesn't get a lot of screentime either so wth
in volume 4 he'd better get more screentime))

You and Ruby were very close friends. You met eachother when you two were around the age of five. Since then you two were nearly inseparable.

Until she got accepted into Beacon, of course. You couldn't help but feel your heart sink when she told you. You weren't much of a fighter, and you didnt want to go through the effort of doing something you didn't actually want to do.

You were happy for her of course. What good friend wouldn't be? Ruby was achieving her dreams.

Ring! Ring!

"Ruby? It's been a while! What's up?" It had been about three months since Ruby called you. Fighting Grimm and all.

"Oh hey! Everyone at Beacon is getting a week off so I wanted to know if you'd like to come stay a bit? The gang's been dying to meet you."

The gang? You wondered if the friends she made were better than you, but reminded yourself that you couldn't be her only friend.

"Yes! Definitely! I'll start packing now."

"Alrighty. Oh, by the way, Weiss already payed for your ticket over here, so don't worry about the traveling expenses."

"Tell Weiss I say thank you! I can't wait to see you again!"

"Me too! 'Kay I gotta go. See you soon."

"See ya."

-- Skipping the ever so boring Trip --

The first thing you saw as you exited the aircraft was a flash of red and a ton of rose petals.

"I missed yooouuuu!!" Ruby squealed excitedly. She had her arms wrapped tightly around you.

"I missed you, too, Rubes," Glancing over her shoulder you noticed seven other people smiling at you two. You recognized one of them as Yang.

"It's been forever since we've even talked, (Y/N)," Yang laughed a little. "We should schedule calling times." You immediately nodded in agreement.

After catching up a little, Ruby and Yang decided to introduce you to everyone. Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren. Ren caught your attention the most. His pink streak, traditional clothing... Bright pink eyes. He definitely was pleasing, appearance-wise. As for personality, you still had yet to find out.

-- TO THE DORMS --

The gang elected to having a karaoke party in team RWBY's dorm room, making it relatively crowded. Barely knowing anyone, you decided to sit out on the side with Ren. He apparently wasn't one for singing in front of others. The both of you had a nice conversation, getting to know eachother better. Ren was very kind and polite, obviously a dependable friend. You couldn't help but feel a little flutter in your heart here and there.

Around 11:45 pm everyone but Nora was exhausted from singing. Both you and Ren had been chatting about team JNPR's adventures and you two were getting pretty tired yourselves.

"C'mon everybody! The night is still young, get up and let's continue this party!!" Nora pointed a finger in the air.

"Nora, I think it's about time we all went to bed." Ren suggested. Everyone yawned in unison to help prove his point.

"But it's not even midnight yet." Nora complained. She was obviously disappointed.

"Why don't we continue this fun tomorrow?" Pyrrha interjected. Pyrrha seemed like a problem solver.

Nora finally agreed to head to bed. Yang offered you her bed.

"I can just sleep in Blake's bed with her." She stated, and Blake didn't seem to protest. And just like that, lights off.

Nothing too crazy happened the next morning. Weiss suggested a picnic between the two teams, in which everyone complied.

Like lastnight, you and Ren sat with eachother and talked about god knows what. It was like you two had known the other for years.

With each topic of discussion, you felt more and more strongly about Ren.

-- Nora time --

"Soo... I couldn't help but notice you're getting pretty close to Ren over there..." Nora spoke up, startling you a bit, especially since you were in the bathroom, completely alone barely two seconds ago.

"Oh, uhm... Sorry?" Akward silence. Nice.

"If you don't mind me asking, are yooouuu..."

"Me? And Ren?"

"Yeah."

"Oh! Oh no, we aren't together together. He's more of a really extremely close friend to me. A bit like a big bro," Nora smiled. "You and Ren would definitely be better."

"Huh?"

"Don't think I, Nora Valkyrie, haven't noticed."

"Oh geez..."

"Don't worry, my friend, I won't tell anyone." You were a little confused, but let out a sigh of relief.

"Instead, I will try to get you two together!" Oh.

Nora struck a pose for effect.

"He seems really comfortable with you, so this should work." And without any other word, Nora left. Righ out the door.

It was your last day at Beacon. Ruby had to start school again the next day.

Blake and Weiss finished their goodbyes, Ruby and Yang tackle hugged you, and Team JNPR gave you a small gift. A box of cookies, which Ruby probably helped them make.

"Excuse me, (Y/N)?" Ren tapped on my shoulder to catch my attention. "May I?" I nodded and walked with him to an area where you would be alone.

You could feel your heart moving your entire body as you stood in front of him.

"I enjoyed hanging out with you this week," He started. "This may sound a bit weird, since we've only known eachother for a week, but I think I may have feelings for you." Ren's vibrant pink eyes stared into yours. You were completely speechless. Well, not completely. You had so many things you wanted to say, you just didn't know where to begin.

"I was kinda thinking the same about you, too. When we first met I felt nervous around you specifically. I just brushed it off as being shy, but now that I really think about it, I realise that I liked you from the beginning..."

A smile broke onto Ren's face, which caused you to smile, too.

"May I?" He asked, and you knew what he was asking about.

"Of course." He leaned down and gently lifted your face up to his, allowing him to place a quick kiss on your nose, then lips. It was short and sweet. It was beautiful.

After you left Ren made sure to call you every one or two days, sometimes with the rest of the group. Every chance you got you would fly out to see him and the others. It was truly a nice feeling.

((I apologize if it was kind of dry and boring. Its currently 2:41 and I'm tired as hell. I decided to write this one now because i knew that in the morning I would forget.
