Yvonnie

Later that night I paced back and forth, on the phone with GiGi. I was telling her everything that happened today with Odell and I. When I told her that we kissed, she was shocked. Hell, I still was myself.

Speaking of the kiss, after that, we went to Brusters, ate ice cream, and just talked. It was kind of weird cause we brushed it off like nothing happened. On the inside I was still shocked. But of course I didn't show that on the outside.

"I wonder what's gonna happen when Monday comes around." GiGi said with a little laugh.

"Same. I feel kind of...weird though." I told her, sitting at the end of my bed and laying back.

"Why?" She asked. I closed my eyes and exhaled.

"I mean...he's with Kalissa...isn't that bad?"

GiGi scoffed with a chuckle, "Girl, you both were caught up in the moment. It's okay."

"I hope." I mumbled. "My feelings for him came back though. I just didn't express them...or tried to show any." I admitted. I rolled my eyes playfully when I heard GiGi squealing over the phone.

"Awww! Y'all gon' be goals when y'all start dating." She quickly assumed but I disagreed.

"I don't think we'll ever have a relationship. He loves Kalissa a lot. I'm not mad either. They been together for a very long time."

"Not as much as you think." She mumbled but I heard what she said.

"What chu' mean?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing Vonnie—Ooh my baby Cam is calling! I'll call you later alright?"

"Alright bye girl." I hung up and placed my phone on the nightstand. I got in my bed and pulled the covers over my body.

Odell

"So how did dress shopping go?" Kalissa asked me, sitting at the end of my bed.

Flashbacks of Yvonnie and I kissing flooded my mind, "Uh, good."

She nodded. "Oh okay. So you're taking me tomorrow....right?" She raised an eyebrow.

I mentally rolled my eyes. "Yes baby I'm taking you tomorrow."

"Yay! I can't wait!" She squealed and attacked me with a hug. I hugged her back effortlessly.

My little brother Kordell walked in the room and looked at Kalissa with his face scrunched up. Kalissa pulled away and smiled at Kordell.

"Hi Kordell." She greeted with a smile. Kordell looked her up and down and scoffed.

"Ugh."

Kalissa frowned but then shrugged it off. I kissed my teeth and looked at Kordell.

"Man why you in here?"

"Well I was gonna ask you if we can play Madden but, I see you're with...her." He turned around with his head hung low. I felt bad and ended up stopping him.

"Kordell come back," He stopped and turned around, looking at me.

I sighed. "Ard lil' bro I'll play with you. Go downstairs and set it up and I'll be down in a few."

Kordell gave me a huge smile and nodded. "Thanks Odell!" He ran out my room and went downstairs.

Kalissa stared at me with her arms folded. What the fuck is her problem now?

"What's wrong with you?" I interrogated.

"Why does your brother hate me so much?" She looked down and traced the outline of my sheets with her finger.

"He doesn't hate you Kalissa." I told her. She picked her head and looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Yes he does Odell. Every time I'm over here, he never speaks to me or he just gives me dirty looks." She said in a shaky voice.

I exhaled deeply and pulled Kalissa into a hug. She rested her head in the crook of my neck. I kissed her cheek and hugged her tighter.

"I doubt he hates you. But I'll ask him why he does that. Don't worry." I pulled away and wiped her tears.

She sniffed and nodded before getting out my bed. She grabbed her purse and took her keys out.

"I'm going home. I'll call you tomorrow. I love you." She walked over and kissed my lips.

"Love you too." I got up and followed her downstairs. I opened the door for her and she walked out to her car. I closed the door and locked it.

"Is she gone?!" Kordell yelled from the living room.

"Yeah!" I yelled back and walked to the living room. The game was already set up. I grabbed the controller and waited for the game to load.

"Kordell, lemme ask you something." I said, my eyes never leaving the screen.

"Okay."

"Do you like Kalissa?"

"Nope." Well shit.

"Why not?" I knitted my eyebrows together and glanced at him.

"She's rude and annoying. And she's always in your face. I can never do anything with you if she's here. I don't like her." He said while shrugging his shoulders. At least he was being honest.

"Oh ard. Thanks for tellin' me how you feel." I thanked him.

"You're welcome. It's better than lying." I nodded my head in agreement.

"That's true. Now you ready to get ya ass kicked real quick?" I looked at him with a devious smirk.

He smirked back at me. "Nah you are though."

"We'll see." I chuckled and started the game.
