Rachel's p.o.v.

I heard the last school bell ring and everyone was darting off to get home, I always take my time, so that I don't have to face a crowd. I hate big crowds, it's one of my biggest fears, today something was different, I saw Mak and Anthony waiting until the crowd passed as well, odd.

"Hey," I heard a familiar voice say, I turned around and saw Anthony running towards me, "aren't you the girl that was getting held up against the lockers."

I stared at him and then quietly said, "yeah," I then tried to walk away, but he grabbed my shoulder to stop me.

"Why are you always so scared, I promise, I won't hurt you, why do you let people pick on you like that," I stared at him, ignored his question, and then tried to walk away but Mak jumped in.

"Why don't you answer him little chicken, he's just trying to be nice, but who would be nice to yo-"

Anthony stopped her mid sentence and said, "Mak, stop it, she's shy, I get that, you don't need to be so rude to her."

"But, you don't deserve to be ignored," I'm pretty sure they forgot that I'm here, Mak, you scare me so much, I saw them kiss for like a second.

"I don't care, she needs a friend," Anthony said, he let go of Mak and walked over to me, "I'm Anthony, what's your name," I looked at him, he had his hand held out, I already know your name, we've been neighbors since forever... I think.

"Ummmm... I'm Rachel," I said as quietly as I could and refused to shake his hand, I turned away to try to walk away but Anthony just wouldn't let me.

"See, you can't even hear her and she's being really rude to you," Mak said, pulling Anthony away from me, why are you trying to tug him out of the classroom, oh wait, I don't care right now, I just want to leave.

"Stop being so mean, I just want to make a new friend."

"But you don't need any more friends."

"I'm trying to be a good guy."

"But you have me, and your football team," I heard Mak say.

"Let's just leave, I'm tired of you right now, bye Rachel, right," I just nodded my head yes and stormed off, they're going to see me walk too, uhhhh, I just want to be left alone.

Anthony's p.o.v.

I pulled Mak's arm and we left the classroom right after Rachel left, "what'syou problem," Mak said, pulling her arm out of my grip.

"I'm trying to be nice to her!"

"You're trying to replace me," Mak stormed off.

"Do you even know where you're going?"

"Your house."

"Do you know how to get there?"

"No," she said with a pouty face.

"Then you better get over here so you don't get lost," I said strictly to Mak.

"Would ever leave me?"

"No, why would I ever do that, we've been dating for three years, I could never leave you," I said, taking Mak in for a hug.

"Good, so, why do you want to be friends with a nobody like Rachel," Mak asked me as we left the school.

"I don't think it's right that she's always by herself, I just don't think she deserves to be alone," I explained to Mak.

"But, she's all the way at the bottom of the popularity pyramid," she explained to me.
