Chapter 18 Memories

I woke up drenched in sweat, I quickly got up and started making sure that I'm awake. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, something seemed off. My fur seemed more gray than usual but it could still pass of as white and my eyes are now a little darker than before. (He, He's trying to take over). (I'm not trying to take over I will take over). I clutched my head in pain as his voice rung through my head. "Ow ow ow", I grumbled. I got up and wobbled my way over to my head to sit down until I herd a knock at my door. "Urg, coming", I yelled. I regained a bit of energy to walk and answer the door. "H-hello", I said opening the door. I opened it and saw it was Yuri. "Dude it's almost noon, you've slept almost half the day away, are you feeling OK", he asked. "O-oh I'm fine its just I'm very tired, I'll be at the restaurant in a bit", I said. He nodded and walked away. I closed the door and got dress and tried to make myself seem like I'm OK. I walked out and the first person I saw was Tamashi. I felt very nervous about being around him after last night, but I didn't want to be rude. "Good Morning or Afternoon", I said. As I looked at him he seemed very distracted and his eyes were wide open he was also shaking a bit. I tapped his shoulder and he jumped. "W-what, Oh you, what the hell do you want", he growled. (Wow he seems very bright and cheerful today). "I just wanted to say hi", I said. He stared at me for a second, his eye's narrow and he crossed his arms. "I'm going to ask you something and I want and answer, Got It!", he command. "OK, what is it", I asked. He looked around to see if anyone was around," does the name... I don't know... Verlis or Speedy ring a bell to you", he asked. Right after he said that a sharp pain emerged from my head. I felt like I saw two pictures of what they might look like in my head. "I-I, think so they sound kinda familiar. But why ask me this and not the other guys. "Well I , um , you see, HEY I'm asking questions not you", he Growled. He turned around and stormed away angrily. For some reason the names he told me seem to stick I'm my head very hard, it was like I knew who those people were. I tried to shake off the thought but I failed and kept thinking about it until I reached the restaurant. "There's Mr. Sleepyhead, good afternoon", Denzell said. I sat down next to Adam who was reading. "Oh forgot to tell you, Tamashi showed us the 3rd island, we just got back but maybe Alter can show you around he should be near the bridges", Adam said. Before I left I grabbed a bit of breakfast and chatted for a while and then left. I walked to the bridges and saw Alter standing there with Evan, Tyler, and Delirious. "Oh shadow nice to see you, we were just about to go on the next island", Alter said. "Yeah the guys said it was cool", Evan said with excitement. We all walked across the bridge and my eye's widen. The Fourth island was nothing but a Amusement Park. "Ooooooo cotton candy!", Delirious yelled as he ran to the cotton candy machine. "Delirious wait up", Evan said as he ran over too. "This is cool", I said. "Looked over to talk to Tyler but he was gone too, I turned back to see he was also waiting for cotton candy. Alter than tapped my shoulder," hey can I talk to you for a bit", he said. I nodded and left the guys alone since they seem like they can Handel themselves. We walked a little distance away from them and found a bench to sit at. "This island is very noisy, I don't like it that much, or theme parks in general", he said. "Hmmm so you wanted to talk to me alone so you could complain", I asked. He shook his head, no I really wanted to talk to you about Tamashi, and yesterday", he said. I looked as he looked a bit nervous to say what was going on," what's wrong with him", I asked. He sighed along with looking around, well you see, Tamashi when he was younger he was abused by his father". "What!, how long did this happen did anyone get his father", I asked. Alter shook his head," No, his father never got caught, but he's dead though, and also the price of him being abused was the many nightmares he has. And other things I can't tell you". "That would we explain last night", I said. Alter sighed," that's also why he acts the way he acts today, I thought you should know because I feel like I can trust you more than the other's. I sighed,"So, he's like this because of his past". Alter nodded," I'm trying to help him by talking with him about it, I want him to open up a bit more so he could feel more comfortable around us and maybe he could change". He got up and removed his hood to scratch his head. Looking at his face I never actually noticed how many piercings he had on his face. He looked at me," something wrong". I shook my head," N-No I just never noticed how many piercings you had". He raised an eyebrow," There not a lot, I only have 3 earrings on each ear, some brow rings and that's it". I chucked a bit and we decided to walk back to the guys. As we got up we herd someone munching away on something. We walked to find out where the source of the sound was coming from. It was Tamashi eating popcorn while playing an arcade game. "Stupid Mole", he said angrily. It seems he was playing wack-a-mole. Alter went over to get his attention, when he did Tamashi quickly put everything back so it looked like he wasn't doing anything."Stop that, sneaking up on me, I'm just here sitting eating popcorn". He looked over at me and narrowed his eye's,"You, later today when everyone is asleep I want to talk to you in private". "Hmmm, is something wrong", Alter asked. Tamashi growled," None of your damn business". He stormed off like usual and started munching loudly on his popcorn. "Isn't he just a bundle if sunshine, I wonder what he wants to talk to you about", Alter said. I shrugged my shoulders, and we started to walk back to the cotton candy machine. We came back to see the rest of the guys there to lined up by a roller coaster. "Hey guys what are you doing", I asked. "Oh Shadow, were about to get on this roller coaster, want in", Adam said. "Oh well I um don't like roll-". "Ooooo It's time to get on", Quentin Said. Adam grabbed my arm and pulled me through the entrance. I looked back to see alter Smiling and waving at me. (Nice help you are). We all got in the seats of the roller coaster and I was not very happy with it. "I-I don't want to do this I hate roller coasters", I said. "You're going to like this one though, there's only like 5 loop-de-loops", Evan said. I gasped and we were locked in our seats and the ride started. "Aaaaaaaaaahhhh", I yelled. "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee", a few of the other's said. "Best ride right shadow", Adam said. I felt very sick I couldn't even respond. "Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh", more of the guys said as we got to the loops. (Shit...) I got very dizzy from the loops and I couldn't wait until the rode was over. Good thing that the ride was done right after. "Wooooo that was fun huh", Yuri said. I agreed, successfully keeping myself from loosing my breakfast. "That ride was crazy", Kolby said. We walked back to the Restaurant so we could have dinner and head to bed. Everyone left one by one by one and I was left talking to Yuri. "This is annoying, there's 9 of us left and who knows what will happen", he said. "Were just going to have to hope for the best", I said. Yuri grumbled," All Tamashi's fault big asshole". "Eehheemm", said a voice. We turned and saw Tamashi standing by the door. I looked at Yuri whose face turned a bit pale. He quickly got up,"oh umm Shadow I'm going to bed now". He walked quickly out the restaurant leaving Tamashi and I alone. He walked over to me and sat across from me. "Your friend is a punk, half of you need to grow a pear", he grumbled. "Well he's kinda right", I chucked. He shot me a scowl and I looked at him dead in the eyes. He smirked," I'm impressed on how you're the only one that's not afraid of me, there's something about You that interest me"."Now that we are alone I'm going to ask you a few questions, and you're going to answer them got it". I nodded, OK what is it". Before he could ask me the question he rubbed his forehead and groaned quietly. "Are you OK, do you need anything", I asked. "N-No I just have a small headache. Anyway have you every herd of...Hope's Peak Academy", he said. The name seem to ring through me head over and over again, I felt images of it this place start to pop in my head. It was so much that I started to get a slight headache. "I-I think So...", I said. "I see... D-Do you remember... Well I remember that I hurt someone with hot coffee", he said. "Y-Yeah you injured Verlis for poisoning you", I said. He looked at me and his eye's narrowed,"What!". I thought about what I just said and gasped quietly,"How did I remember that". "I knew it,I-", Tamashi stuttered. He started to clutch his head and groan loudly. (Is this to much for him). I got up to see if he was OK but then I herd he was mumbling something."shut up, get out of my head", he grumbled. I backed up from him a bit," are you OK". "Shut up, shut up, shut up", he growled. (Is he talking to me). He then got up quickly and started to swing his arms in the air in a thrashing matter. "I SAID SHUT UP GET AWAY FROM ME!", he yelled. I looked at him confused and frightened a bit, he was just yelling at air. "SHUT UP SHUT UP", He yelled repeatedly. He began to break a few things by throwing at the spot he was yelling at. I herd someone come in the restaurant. I turned to see Yuri and Alter at the door. "What's going on!", Alter asked. "I-I don't know we were talking and he just started to flip", I responded. Alter quickly walked over to Tamashi to try and calm him down. "Tamashi, listen to me, it's all in you head, please snap out of it!, he said shaking him a bit. He seemed to relax a tiny bit but he then dropped to the floor hugging himself groaning loudly in pain. "It...hurts...so bad", he groaned. "Imma need you two to leave now", Alter ordered. We both left the restaurant and walked outside. When we did Quentin was out there too he looked very concerned. "I-Is everything alright, you two are not hurt at all, I herd a lit of bashing. We both nodded and Quentin relaxed a bit. "So what happened", Quentin asked. Yuri told Quentin and I just filled the extra details in. Alter walked out with Tamashi who seem to be in some sort of dazed.( geez what happened). He walked passed us without giving us any eye contact. "You're going to have to excuse him he's not feeling OK", alter said. "What do you mean, he threw a whole tantrum for no apparent reason, what the hell is going on I want answers", Yuri demanded. Alter I guess wanted to say something but he couldn't bring him self too. "Well I'm waiting", Yuri said. Alter mumbled a few words, and just left. "I swear, I think alter and Tamashi are in cahoots with each other, that they only act like enemies when were around, grrrr fuck this shit I'm out. Yuri stormed away and I was left with Quentin. "We were standing out here with alter and Yuri was mainly arguing with him but I guess he'll be fine tomorrow",He said. He walked to our rooms as I walked in to mine I started thinking a lot. (Where are these memories coming from). (What's going on with me). I laid down on my bed and just went to sleep trying to forget it all.

I got up and out my room and walked to the super market. (Am I dreaming). I walked all the way to the supermarket and the first thing I saw was alter sleeping on a couch there. (What's going on). (oh nothing just me taking you body out for a spin). (You again!, leave him alone). I walked up to him, he was sleeping peacefully. I... He to my hand and hovered it around his neck. (No! Stop it!). (Why are you having fun). My vision started to blur and everything went dark. (Please tell me I didn't hurt him...Please.).
