Tsuna is too kind to become a mafia boss. Sure his kindness did some magic here and there but being a mafia boss is a whole other thing entirely.
Reborn tried to get rid of it when he first met Tsuna. But as the days passed by and Tsuna still retained his soft heart even if he has the strength to defeat others, Reborn realised that he can never change it. That he can never force Tsuna to become a cruel and cold man in order to make him become a mafia boss.
Reborn fully realised that Tsuna's soft heart wasn't a weakness but a strength when they were battling against the Vindice. If Tsuna didn't have that soft heart of his, he would never thought of a way to save the Arcobalenos and Reborn won't be able to live another day like now.
Now, Reborn finally realised that Tsuna is braver than he looked. After all, to keep a soft heart in a cruel world needs a lot of courage and Tsuna was able to do that perfectly.
