Chapter 10: Never Have I Ever

A lot of people had left already and it wasn't even midnight! There were like 20 people left who all sat in a odd circle on the floor with cushions and bean bags. I walked downstairs with Kol behind me but his nose was still in bad shape, I cleaned it up the best I could.

As I was scratching my forehead Navid saw my split knuckles which I didn't even notice until now.

"Woah. Someone got in a fight." Exclaimed Navid, everyone jerked their head in my direction with all attention on me.

"You should see the other guy" I said smugly as Kol came out in front of everyone. Everyone just started laughing.

"All right. All right." Kol said, calming everyone down "Yes I got punched by a girl." I couldn't help but smile. I went to sit down on a beanbag next to Zafrina and Zaid. Kol went to sit by his cousin directly opposite me on out grey velvet plush couch.

"All right." Announced Sofia "You know the rules of Never Have I Ever, if you've done something you drink a shot of my homemade punch" She had about 100 mini shot glasses on the table.

"The person who collects the most glasses wins." Sofia explained "I'll go first. Never have I ever... Smoked a joint"

My eyes darted to Kol's as he went to get a shot of mystery punch. I realised that this game was a great way of getting to know Kol. And most importantly getting to know his secrets and all the bad things he's ever done. I didn't swallow Sofias punch and neither had Sofia nor Zafrina but I was surprised to see Amelia, Kol's sister, take a drink.

"Okay, never have I ever been arrested." Zafrina said aiming that one at Zaid. He was the only one who drank. Zaid got arrested last year for vandalising someone's car. I'm sure I don't need to explain just how mad Ma and Baba were.

"Alright! Never have I ever... Walked in on my parents doing it." I said. About three quarters of everyone in the circle drank including me. It was a moment I blocked from my memory but it's still there deep inside.

"Okay, never have I ever been punched by Khadijah." Zaid said laughing at Kol. Kol and two of my cousins drank, Kol looked at me in surprise.

"You punch a lot of people?"

"We grew up with her. How do you think she learned to be so tough?" Explained my cousins Adam and Essa.

"Never have I ever..." Thought Amelia "Given someone a fake phone number"

"Right khadijah wins this one. It's what she's best known for" announced Zafrina. I couldn't help but laugh but it was true. I never gave out my real number to any old stranger.

"What?" Asked Amelia in confusion

"Just random freshies looking for a 3rd wife" I joked.

"Oh right, um never have I ever... Shoplifted" he said. Almost everyone drank including me. Mine was a petty theft, I ate chocolate coins from a pic and mix and didn't pay for it. To be fair I was only 6 at the time.

"Never have I ever gone skinny dipping" said Aminah, Kol's cousin apparently. I looked around the room only to see a handful of people drink but not Kol. I drank as well feeling slightly ashamed but so did Sofia and Amelia. I mean we had our own pool outside, of course Sofia and I went skinny dipping when no one was around.
