Epilogue: The Lives We Live*

Start from the beginning

"The couple have written their own vows, so I'll let them take it away." The priest smiled.

I looked down at Aylin and began my vows.

"Aylin. My love, my life, I can't believe we're here. I'm finally going to spend forever with you." I stroked her cheek.

"It's been a long journey of ups and downs but an amazing journey none the less." I smiled.

"And today, I promise to love, cherish, and protect you for as long as my heart beats, I promise to think about you everyday, to keep you here for eternity." I touched my chest and she began to cry.

"My love, you are my life now, forever and always. I love you." I smiled down at her.

She smiled wiping away tears. She cleared her throat.

"Adrian." She smiled stroking my cheek with her soft hands.

"You have been my rock, the person who never, ever gave up on me, you helped me see that I deserve love, a good life." I squeezed her hand.

"You showed me how beautiful I really am, how amazing the world can be when you're happy." She was tearing up again.

"And that I could be loved. Really and truly loved for who I am."

"Adrian, I promise to love you for the rest of my life and even after we've gone, I promise to always be there for you, to show you the same love and kindness you once showed me." She smiled that entrancing smile, her luscious lips curling enticingly.

"I love you." And my smile grew at her words.

"I love you." I smiled at her.

The priest smiled too. "Well, it seems everything is in order."

"Aylin Jennifer Scott, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband for as long as you both shall live?" He asked.

She smiled. "Yes, I do." She looked into my eyes with such love that it overwhelmed me. I slipped the ring on her finger.

"And do you, Adrian Thomas Morgan, take this beautiful young woman to be your lawfully wedded wife for as long as you both shall live?" He asked.

"I do, I really really do." The crowd laughed and she slipped the gold band on my finger.

"Then by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife." He announced.

"You may kiss your bride." I leaned forward and took her in my arms and kissed her passionately.

Just like at prom. I kissed her with every feeling of love I felt for her over the past 7 years. She melted into my arms and the crowd cheered in happiness.

I pulled away and we smiled at one each other. It was the most beautiful moment we had ever shared. I just held her close to me and we basked in our happiness, future and past.
