Hello my lovely readers! You all look just lovely this fine time of day.  Oh damn this heat. It's soooo hot. Anyway. Thought I'd give you a chapter before I'm forced back to school. :(
      Forever Yours,

I dropped my bag by the door before heading into the kitchen.

I found Cassi sitting at the table drinking a cup of hot tea. "Hello lovely." She stood up and bounced over to me kissing my cheeks.

I had grown used to Cassi's incessant touching. I smiled as she went to the stove and poured me a cup of tea.

I sat down at the table and sighed. It had been a long week. Lots of tests and homework.  Not to mention having to help Amy cheer Wyatt up about Heather.

I took a sip of my tea. Adrian had also become a reoccurring thing in my life. He started sitting with us at lunch everyday, despite the glares from the surfer clan.

I remember the first day he sat with us.

     Flashback

I grabbed my sandwich and walked to our usual table on the patio.

Amy came bouncing up, a still moping Wyatt shuffling behind her. She sat done with a McDonald's bag, Wyatt with a Wendy's bag.

"Hey. So did you get that assignment in AP Stat?" She asked taking out her box of fries and her wrap.

I was about to answer when someone sat down right next to me on the bench. I looked over to see him sitting 1 inch from me taking his sandwich out of his Subway bag.

"You might want to close your mouth sweetheart." He said putting his fingers under my chin and pushing my mouth closed.

He smiled and I could feel a blush coming to my cheeks.

"What're you guys starring at?" He asked, looking around. Wyatt laughed.

"Nothing man. Let's eat." Wyatt said digging into his Wendy's bag.

End of Flashback

I sat across from Cassi as she flipped through a romance novel, sipping her tea. She wasn't wearing make up or her high heels. It was an odd change from her usual look.

"We're going out to dinner tonight to celebrate your dad's new branch of office in Japan. He's gonna be home more often now that it's been set up." She smiled at me as she took a sip out of her mug.

I swirled the spoon in my tea. "That's good." I said looking into the light brown water of the herbal tea.

"Hey Cassi?" I asked. She looked up. "Yes?" She asked setting her romance novel down.

"Do you now what I would wear to a casual brunch?" I asked her swirling the spoon faster in my mug.

She looked at me suspiciously. "Well here you would probably wear a casual dress... why do you ask?" She leaned forward a bit.

I twisted my hands in my lap. "Well, this boy asked me if I could be his date to a brunch with his family tomorrow and I sort of said yes... So I don't really know what to wear..." I told her.

Her eyes lit up instantly. "Let's see what you have." She giggled grabbing my arm and dragging me upstairs to my closet.

She rummaged through. I didn't really have much clothing, just a few pairs of jeans, some shorts and some tee shirts.
