"Oh my gosh, Emma! I am so glad to hear from you!", Helen texted back, anxious for a reply.

Emma quickly responded, "So here is what is going on. I have been taken by a man. He has done this for years and i am staying in his house with ten other teenagers. I do not know his real name, but he told us to call him Mr.S. He has us helping him commit robberies. Each night we map out where we are going rob, and then we back up his van will usually go to family-owned businesses. We bust the security cameras, then steal the money from the cash register. Every time the police begin to connect the dots with the several robberies we move away. I know there is a bigger reason that he kidnapped us. The police will never find us. Our best chance of getting home is if you take my directions and get us out of here. I have to go now. I will talk to you soon. Tell no one about this."

All Helen said back was "okay". Helen really wanted to show everything to the police but she felt like she had to trust Emma if she ever wanted to get her back.

Helen fell asleep easier that night then she has in awhile. When she woke up she cooked breakfast. In the middle of eating her blueberry pancakes, she heard the doorbell ring. It was Emma's dad, Kevin barged in. That reminded Helen how much she needed to lock her doors. Helen and Kevin got divorced a year ago around Emma's fourteenth birthday.

Kevin announced," So my daughter goes missing and you decide to let me find out from the police rather than you."

" I have a restraining order against you. Why are you here?", Helen replied.

"I just wanted to know if you know anything about Emma that might help get her back."

"I do not know a thing", Helen quickly responded.
