"Helen we will contact you when we know if it is your daughter's body," the officer continued.
"...Okay," Helen replied. She felt as if her heart was about to stop. That could not be Emma's body. All that she could do while she waited for the officer to call back is sit and think of the worst and best possible scenarios.
Two days later, Helen got the phone call. It wasn't Emma. It was the body of 15 year old Marissa Fergason. She went missing 2 years ago. Even though she was relieved it was not Emma, but it was depressing for her to hear Marissa's story. Helen could not imagine losing her daughter and 2 years later finding out she was dead. The worst part was that the police have no idea who did that to her.
That night, Helen received a text message from a private number. The text read "Hey mom it's Emma. I have a lot to tell you."
