" Hello..?! Hello..?! Um I would like to report a missing person!" Helen frantically told the operator.
"Okay miss I am going to need you to stay calm. Now who went missing and when was the last time you saw he or she?"
" My daughter Emma Santiago! I haven't seen her since last night around nine o'clock. I NEED THE POLICE NOW!" Helen told the operator her address then hung up the phone. She ran outside to wait for the police. After 10 minutes the police had shown up at her house. Helen showed the police pictures and gave them Emma's information.
"Okay Miss.Santiago, we will send people to find your daughter. We will do everything we can." The police officer said assuringly.
"Okay thank you," Helen replied sullenly. After 30 minutes the police had left.
Helen decided to walk into Emma's room. As soon a she turned the light on she saw a small wooden box with a gold floral print on it,lying on Emma's dresser. Helen slowly opened the box. It contained a hand-written letter. She began reading it and burst into tears.
