“No. Way.” Christina breathes.

We sit crossed-legged on her top bunk. I hug a pillow to my chest, excited to tell my best friend. She’s suitably impressed.

“Wow.” She says, for about the millionth time since I started the “Johanna Story”.

I grin.

“Tell me again!” She says and I repeat the story while she squeals.

“NO WAY!” She screams again when I get to the end.

“Way!” I laugh

“I’m sorry you can’t see Johanna though.” Christina says and takes my hand.

I might not be able to be with my real family, but sitting here chatting with Christina, is just like having a sister.

“And Tobias?” Christina asks, poking my shoulder jokingly.

I hit her with the pillow I’m holding.

“He doesn’t know.” I sigh

“Well, tell him! He doesn’t seem mad any more. He’ll take you back, Tris! He’d be crazy not to!”

“Mmmn.” I mumble vaguely

“TRIS! He doesn’t want to lose you. You saw how upset he was. Just talk to him!” She begs

“Let’s talk about something else.” I say. Christina looks at me pleading and I add “Please?"

She shakes her head but leans forward and takes both my hands. She looks into my eyes and smiles.

“Don’t worry Tris, love always finds a way.”

I sigh and nod sadly
