Hush my child,
don't you cry.
Can you hear my voice?
It's soothing you, wishing you goodnight.Hush my child,
don't you weep.
The night is calling
and telling you to sleep.Hush my child,
don't you sob.
As I rock you to sleep,
my heart beats in a throb. Now my child,
you are asleep.
I will lay you in your cot
and hope not to make a peep
